“It’s not as user friendly as needed. It’s a safe way to message the other parent that you can bring up in court if you need to. But saving or starting important messages isn’t an option or filtering by key words isn’t available”
“Custody X Change will help you in high conflict cases. It helps you create such a detailed parenting plan that there are very few loopholes for either parent to slip through”
“For the majority, it’s a very good app. It’s easy to apply times and make changes. I am still learning on different things that I can do. There were some issues about my journal entries, but I reached out and they were very quick to help me out. I would recommend out of all the other apps that I have tried to use.”
“The single most significant tool for deciding custody during the divorce. And very helpful in documenting things post divorce. Also the calendar has been very instrumental in reducing arguments and making communication much easier.”
“I’ve been using Custody X Change for two years now and intend to renew next month. The calendar(s) are easily created and shared. It has work well with iCalendar, Google and Microsoft.”
“Hey Custody X Change crew!
I think the program was helpful. I think the price was steep, it seemed high.
Interface was ok. I think you guys could probably improve it though.
I am gonna venture to say better advertising and getting into divorce attorney circles maybe a value added endeavor. Even social media searches?
What about reminders or summary email reminders… Hey Adam you have Veterans Day starting at 9 pm the day before. I sense that may be a benefit.
And, hurry up! Before someone else comes up with a better mouse trap.”
“Super helpful and comprehensive, not overwhelming. My only complaint is i want to be able to share my parenting plan with my partner so we can edit and draft together, without having to export each time.”
“Custody X Change is very thorough and can immensely help navigate a complicated parenting plan. Very professional looking plan that had a few officials believing it was drafted by an attorney. I'm far from reaching an agreement but will rely on this service in the future if needed.”
“Love this app! I can track everything I need and even submit court paperwork and write up a parenting plan!
I do wish it included third party custody, such as a grandparent or other party, but its amazing anyway!”
“The only things I would change:
1. Allow each parent to be able to create custody schedules that are NOT shared with the other coparent (ie be able to choose which are shared and which are not).
2. Simplify the extra time schedules. I made an extra time schedule and could not remove it even after looking through all the tutorials and help topics.
3. Allow multiple main custody schedules to overlay ontop of each other, like when there are different schedules for different children. Right now it tells you it won't add a second calendar because the exchanges are too close together.
Otherwise, the parenting plan questions are very thorough, the capacity to have regular and holiday schedules is nice, the different time breakdowns is great, and I LOVE how it tracks who makes what changes and when. That has been particularly helpful to avoid gaslighting and manipulation.
Thank you”
“I use this tool primarily as a custody journal - it is great to keep track of what has happened, categorize the entries, and search and sort them. Then they're ready to print in a format that is useful in court. I also have put the custody schedule in the calendar and I love the reports - this has also been key in calculating the actual % of the custodial time for the purposes of calculating child support.”
“I mainly use CustodyXChange for the scheduling features. My situation wasn't able to use all of the other features. So for the purpose of this review, I will say that I've found the schedules/calendars indispensible. I've been able to input the base schedule, holidays, changes, etc. I've used it for future planning and for referring to past history. It has been very helpful. I'm giving 4 of 5 stars since I'm not a user of many of the other features.”
