“The calendar is difficult to manipulate. It is very touchy and it is hard to change just a few days out of the current schedule. It helps though, to avoid personal email or texting that can just lead to bad conversations.”
“it was very useful in term which type and how to structure the calendar. However in terms of usability, it isn’t very intuitive. I looked around for training vidéos and most of them were based on the old version of the platform. I end up adapting my existing excel based calendar with the informations I gathered from Custody X.”
“I like the aesthetic of the calendar. Would still like an easier way to put changes in the calendar. Incorporating a new schedule, resetting alternating weekends, easy adjustments to actual time vs planned time”
“Its am excellent program that is not quite worked through all the needs of parents in custody set ups. It needs to have an option for nights only rather than hours. Ideally, you could insert holidays to get a rolling calendar rather than being date specific. And a few other things which are just a bit annoying. But its the best program available, and then one can go forward from there....”
“Custody X Change is great but I really wish that once you got all the settings correct on your computer that there was a way to update it with an app. For example, if the parent doesn't show up for visitation time.”
“one parent is able to make changes without a) notification to the other and b) without approval of the other parent. So, in a contentious relationship, one parent is able to manipulate the calendar to make it appear they have more parenting time than the other.”
“Custody exchange helps keep emails organized and unalterable. Negatives are that it does not have spell check which is a negative and it does not time and date stamp which is very important. It also seems to take a long time to load messages once I have already received the email that a message has been sent. I would say that the program has a lot too work on.”
Hi,
Thanks! Having a spell check for the messages is a really excellent idea. We just added that to our development plans, and it should hopefully be ready pretty soon -- I'd estimate about 2-3 months until we will launch that feature.
We recently finished some work on the loading time for messages. It was previously loading all of the messages at once, but we changed it to only load the recent ones (until you scroll down), and that worked to speed it up. If that's still not fast for your device, send us a message to our support with the phone you're using, and we can add some more tweaks to it.
Thanks again for the feedback!
Ben
