“Half a star if I could. Terrible communication. Driver blaming me. Said he went to the wrong address. Then after the fact changed the time slot to make it seem like I was the one at fault. Worse that there was no apology from him. The online chat people cancelled my tracking number so it was not possible to communicate with them. They did not respond to my email. I WILL AVOID in the future.”

On two consecutive occasions, I’ve been subjected to the same fiction—claims of failed delivery attempts while I was present at home throughout the entire day. It would be laughable if it weren’t so transparently incompetent. To compound matters, the so-called customer support line appears to exist purely as a decorative feature, as it is never answered. This is not merely poor service—it is a masterclass in inefficiency and disregard. “I am extremely disappointed with DPD Ireland.
My parcel (tracking 264175931) was delivered to the wrong address. The delivery photo and GPS clearly show a different property, and I never received the parcel.
I reported the issue immediately. After that:
• no proper investigation was carried out
• no one contacted me
• the case was simply marked as closed
It has now been 3 weeks, and there has been zero resolution.
The sender claims the parcel was delivered. DPD refuses to take responsibility. The parcel is effectively lost, and I am left with nothing.
This is not just poor service — this is a complete failure of accountability and customer support.
Avoid DPD Ireland if you expect your parcel to actually reach you.”
“Terrible service from DPD. Customer service makes empty promises and has no idea what their drivers are doing. My parcel was left next to rubbish bins in the laundry room despite a clear label saying to bring it to my apartment — as a person with mobility issues, I effectively never received it. On Friday they kept promising a driver would collect my parcel before my Saturday flight. At 17:00 they were still saying he was coming. At 17:30 they said the working day had ended. Based on their promises I changed my flight — and the parcel was never collected. DPD’s lies cost me money and ruined my travel plans. Completely unacceptable, especially towards a disabled customer.”
“All the time that I received something from DPD, the service is the same: the guy doesn't ring the bell or doesn't knock at the door. He leaves the purchase at the door and I only receive the information via email. I'm at home and even this way, the guy just leaves the purchase there. I've sent an email about it and they never answered. My last purchase was a medicine and the day was miserable because of the rain. He left the package outside, at the door without knocking at the door or ringing the bell. For some places as Notino Ireland or Foley pharmacy, the delivery unfortunately it is only through DPD. Poor service and I don't recommend at all”
“Shocking and unacceptable behaviour from a DPD Ireland driver in the Tallaght area (Jason).
After missing a delivery, I politely tried to arrange a solution — neighbour, mailbox, pickup point — all refused. The driver then agreed I could collect the parcel later and told me to call around 4–5 pm.
When I called at 3 pm, he had already finished early and returned the parcel to the depot. When I calmly reminded him of what he had said, he became aggressive, shouted at me, used offensive language, and told me he didn’t care whether my parcel reached me or not.
Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. No customer should ever be spoken to like this.

“I've been in Ireland two weeks and have already had three bad experiences with DPD. Two deliveries were delayed 1-2 days because DPD misrouted them. Today a delivery was not completed because "phone number needed to complete delivery." If you have the correct address including eircode, why do you need a phone number? And DPD has my phone number - it had earlier texted me a delivery time for the same package! Very disappointing.”

The absolute belligerent trainwrecks they have as employees there, Amy and Laura, are rude and refused to accept their companies fault and blamed both me and virgin media for their failures. They are rude, incompetent and should be shut down due to their horrendous "customer service"”
“Terrible. Terrible. Dane from DPD dumped expensive parcels on our doorstep fully on view for anyone to see.
Two parcels - one from Smyth's Toys and one from McGurk's Golf - total value €364.00 - just left on full view on a busy thoroughfare.
Told McGurk's and Smyth's "won't buy off you online again as long as you use DPD".
Wrote to DPD and "Kevin" in customer service told me "Sorry will tell the depot" - not a word since.
Don't use online resellers that use DPD!”
“Worst customer service experience in a long time. They made multiple errors with the delivery and promised to resolve on a certain date. Took the day off work to receive it - they were a no show, and returned to sender rather than deal with it. This was the week before Christmas and the package were presents for the kids. Had to re-order the whole thing but this time chose collection at the store. Never making the mistake of using DPD again.”
“The service by dpd North Kerry is totally appalling. I tried to phone the depot over a period of two hours and no one would answer the phone.Isaac was supposed to deliver a parcel and of course he didn't show.If he was run on batteries that fellow wouldn't work. All non nationals driving the vans and they haven't a clue about where they are going. The service is brutal at best.”

“Guys, dpd delivery is so bad and the costumer service the same! They don’t care at all about costumers, they grow your package everywhere where they see a space if they don’t find your adress , to give you a call to ask you where he can’t you?? No way!! Just make a picture with the package that they delivered it anywhere but not on your adress and run! This is the second time , even the post man is calling you to ask you where he can find you! Wow guys! So bad customer service!! I don’t get it, they are paid for a service and they don’t delivered it, simple as that.”
“The keep sending my parcels to the wrong Depot, every single time. I get my orders with one or two days of delay. I really needed my phone yesterday so I contacted them to prevent this to happen… and it happened anyways.”
“Absolutely diabolical. Strung myself and Amazon along for 3 weeks trying to get a return collected. Kept saying they had tried and no one was home but our CCTV told otherwise. Managers ignoring emails, leaving their phone off the hook in local depot. Companies on amazon said they no longer deal with DPD Ireland due to their unreliability and unprofessionalism. I have never experienced anything like it
