“I adore Edward Bulmer paints.The pigment, finish and ease of use, combined with the company's natural, toxin-free, plant based ethos make for a brand and product I want in our family home. Most recently we used Lilac Pink in our kitchen. It works beautifully in the space and has stood the test of time in a busy room. I would recommend EB paints without hesitation.”

“Love the paint but unfortunately the quantity calculator told me to purchase an extra 2.5L tin of paint which went unopened, and as they don't do returns that's £90 wasted”

Thank you for your feedback, we shall look into this, it is usually very accurate, the paint does have a very generous coverage. Our painted is mixed to order and is therefore a bespoke item, you won't find it in dusty tins in DIY Stores. As a natural product we use minimal preservative in line with our ethos that we shouldn't overproduce products to increase waste for the planet. “We found coverage not good but colour was great. I paid for express delivery but it took 5 days..... I don't think the price was really justified.”

Dear Sandra, Thank you for your feedback, we re sorry to hear that the courier system was delayed, although they are a they are a third party, unfortunately we rely on their service to get the paint to you. Your paint left us the next working day, we can offer you free delivery on your next order. Please do contact the technical department with any queries on coverage - this is usually exceptional according to decorators, it would be good to know the preparation used for the walls you painted? “These are the worst paints ever! The colours are beautiful but the actually paint is hopeless, the emulsion rubs off when giving a light clean and don’t even mention the eggshell, five coats and it still needs more. Ethos good, colour choice good, quality useless and not very eco friendly that samples are pre-made instead of made to order.”

We are truly sorry to hear this. Have you tried to contact us? Please could you contact us directly as we are struggling to find a record of your order but possibly it was ordered under a different name? We would be only too pleased to advise you of best practice when using natural paint. It is helpful to know what material the eggshell paint went onto and which primer you have used, as other primers do have plastics in, which create a barrier to natural products making them hard to adhere and cure. Our paints are all freshly mixed to order, ref the samples these are all also freshly mixed at our Herefordshire HQ and we only have stock of a limited number of each in order to process and our deliver our orders promptly to our customers. “It took quite a few days for me to make my mind up to use such expensive paint, and our friend who was decorating for us thought I had lost the plot! Lena was an absolute star and couldn’t have been more helpful. We live opposite the sea and the lounge is north facing, and it’s a 1970 bungalow! Not your stereotypical Bulmer type property! So I needed a colour that would warm up a north facing room. Anyway! It looks todiefor, no awful paint smell, and covered beautifully in one coat. There’s still enough to paint the hall, but I won’t hesitate to buy some more EB paint for the rest of the bungalow. Our friend, the decorator is still open mouthed at how fabulous this paint is! Thanks to Lena (who by pure coincidence also has two beautiful greyhounds like us)”

“We loved the colour consultation service. It helped us choose colours we wouldn't have gone for otherwise, and it made it great value to get testers and a discount as part of the service. The paint it great and highly recommended. Darker colours scuffed a litte bit, but are easily painted over to make it good as new.”

“I’ve used Edward Bulmer paint now in my current home and my last one. Both are period houses and their colour chart is always my go to. The colours are so sympathetic and the quality of the paint very good, according to our quite particular decorator! This time we also used the design service. Emily was so helpful, friendly and made some excellent suggestions. It was very good value for money and so worthwhile.”

“Claire was so helpful in our colour consultation session. She had some very good ideas that we had not considered and also gave us options to work with. I felt like she really understood the brief. I have no imagination at all (!) and Claire managed to convey her vision really well. Ours is not a huge project but we felt like we wanted to go in a slightly different direction from our norm. I would highly recommend this service for all types of projects. It doesn’t have to be a grand makeover to feel the value that the experience of the consultants can bring.”

“As a professional decorator who sprays a lot of woodwork, I was genuinely impressed with this product. The finish is hard-wearing and durable, exactly what you want for high-traffic areas. What really stood out, though, was the smell — surprisingly pleasant compared to the usual harsh paint fumes. It made the whole spraying process much more enjoyable. A quality product I’ll definitely be using again.”

“Ordered grip coat and emulsion. Good quality stuff and works well on mixed plaster in 400 year old house. Used on both lime and gypsum plaster including mixed on the same wall with old paints. Grip coat works well to key it all together.”
