“Sarah was super, had done a lot of thinking before we spoke, and was really helpful in offering different schemes based on direction of light and what would work best with other colours in the house. A really invaluable session, thank you!”

“Having struggled for weeks with the colour for the walls of the newly renovated sitting room (including ordering five samples, all fails), I booked a colour consultation. I explained to Lena what I was looking for, showed her a fabric sample, and she nailed it first time round (Silver White). We spent the rest of the consultation talking about muted pinks for a future project, as well as our shared Scandinavian heritage - it was like chatting to a friend with great taste and an irritatingly good eye for colour!”

“I had a colour consultation Emily,she was so helpful. I was struggling to find the correct colour for my bathrooms and actually showed be colours which I hasn't thought of. She also encouraged me to be a little braver with my choices and where to apply . Overall a very ususeful experience. Thank you”

“I am loving this product. We bought it for our bedroom. I love the fact you can choose the percentage depth of some colours so if you like a colour you can get perfect match. By the time you have made a cup of tea and gone back... It's dry!!!”

“I have used your paints before and always had an issue of some kind. The waterbased eggshell I used to hand paint a couple of library units dried streaky. I had to give the units a couple of extra coats in order to get the colour more uniform but I am still not 100% happy with the finish. I have been painting furniture for over 20 years and I have nothing against natural products but they must be fit for purpose.”

Dear Robert, We are sorry to read this news - this is certainly not the performance we are used to! We would recommend sanding the unit first, to get a good key, 2 coats on top should be sufficient. Water based products can struggle on top of and oil based products underneath, we would be delighted to discuss this to help achieve the correct result? “We found a recent 30 min online colour consultation extremely helpful. It was easy to book at short notice and organised efficiently. The consultant took our preferences and constraints etc on board very responsively and made three clear proposals for wall colour (plus ceiling, coving and woodwork colours) for which we have now received the A5 cards by post. We were not pushed into any one particular direction in 'hardsell' fashion. And hope to use Edward Bulmer paint soon.”

“As a textile designer with a passion for sustainablity I have had my eye on Edward Bulmer Natural Paint range for awhile now. Finally I have the opportunity to work on my own home again and have chosen a matt emulsion in silver white and egg-shell for woodwork in grey smoke. I have just begun to work with the emulsion and it hasn't disapointed! It's beautiful to work with really good coverage, plus there are no flumes as I am working which is an absolute plus. I highly recommend this as a high quality product and worth every penny spent.”

“We are decorating our entire Victorian house with Bulmer natural paint. It is all part of a huge house restoration. It is looking great so far and I am really looking forward to the end result. Bulmer colours are beautiful, and really suit the house. One set of painters are lining the walls and then using the primer and then the paint. The other set of decorators are using the fine grip primer and then painting. Both look good and it is interesting to see the difference. I am really looking forward to moving back in in October when the overall effect of the great colours, tiling and wallpaper will be apparent.”

“I booked a consultancy session and quite honestly it turned out to be the best value I have had for £50 in a long time! Claire had prepared several colour schemes for the room in question and was flexible and practical in her advice throughout our session. I even get to email her for further information if needed! I am delighted with the colour selections and feel confident moving forward to the next stage of the project. This is an excellent service. Try it - you won't regret it!”

“Following a recent colour consultation, we decided to try one of the colour combinations recommended to us and we’re very pleased with the results so far. The paint covers extremely well and the colour has a beautiful depth to it. So far the ceiling is looking great in Fair White. Walls are next and we’ve chosen Brick which is a wonderfully warm colour and happy to share more once we’re underway 😊”

“I just painted my teenage daughter’s bedroom in Jesse. Was worried it might be too girly and saccharine but I couldn’t be happier. It’s gorgeous- can’t stop going in there to admire it! It was super easy to paint with, dried really fast and has a lovely rich, matt finish. No odour and very forgiving (as I plonked it straight on top of the previous acrylic). Will absolutely use Edward Bulmer paint again and would recommend highly.”

“Used the breathable emulsion, after primer, on new modern lime plaster. It went on beautifully and the colours are very true to the chart. A lovely product, would buy these paints again for the breathing walls.”
