“Edward Bulmer's paints were a delight to use both in application and the absence of any strong odours - the clean-up was also easy. My first time using the brand, I took the plunge with Invisible Green / Pea Green / Milk White in a north facing principal bedroom and was delighted with the result. My daughter was looking for a softer, neutral shade for a south facing room and is really pleased with the varied tonal shades of Jonquil on her walls and woodwork. Our sitting room was refreshed with Welmish Blue and Pearl. Great depth and warmth to all the colours, highly recommend.”

“I had a colour consultation, which was fabulous, it gave me some great options for colours. Ordered sample pots and made a long awaited decision. The paint is fabulous to work with, both emulsion and eggshell, colours are stunning.”

“Utterly thrilled with your paint and so joyful to paint with. The matt of the emulsion is truly matt and the depth of colour and its coverage superb. I’m a colour freak so I surprised myself in choosing Portland Stone. I feel very grown up using it! It is also highly likely going to be my go to neutral as it is off white but still bright in my darkly lit cottage and an excellent colour to off-set some strong colours I dot around. May I thank you for your kind invitation to the most excellent talk at Thyme. Edward Bulmer is obviously a chap with very great knowledge and came across as quite delightful. I am in the decorative antique trade, and I would probably horrify any interior decorator with the sheer number of colours I use in my home, but I deeply appreciate the most informative of talks and also, of course, your wonderful paint.”

“I am beyond happy with this paint, fantastic coverage over the muliple testers I had painted on the walls. No fumes and dried really quickly. I would say little goes a long way as it is such good coverage so I have lots left over”

“Hallway to our SW London project last year. The brief here was to refresh and to ‘get rid of the hideous dark grey’. We turned to Edward Bulmer Paint as one does in these circumstances, and used Paris Grey for these walls and woodwork. The kitchen through the door beyond is painted in Trumpington. Edward Bulmer Paint provides colours that others simply don’t and I believe it’s worth every penny. I never advise mixing paint as an alternative as the colours simply aren’t the same.”

“I recently did a virtual colour consultation with Lena. I only have a small flat, so 1 hour was ample for discussing two quite tricky areas (dark hall and variable kitchen). It was extremely helpful and enlightening. Lena was professional in gently giving guidance whilst allowing me time to expand on my concerns. The sample swatches arrived the next day by post. I am now at the happy phase of considering the suggested options including a colour which I would never have considered on my own. Definitely recommended as a service. The ideal would be 'in person' but for small areas virtual is more than adequate and certainly enjoyable. Thank you Lena and your team.”

“I have just had a colour consultation, by zoom,with Claire, it was amazing. Claire was very knowledgeable and has truly helped me with choosing colours for a room that has been challenging. She was patient and totally understanding of my requirements. I’m very excited to receive my testers and complete my project. I will definitely be booking again for other rooms.”

“Love this paint! All the colours are absolutely beautiful, and change depending on the time of day (so important, I think, when using colour, and just not possible to replicate with a colour match). We have a lot of beams and fiddly areas as it’s an old house and so it was really important to us (and our decorators!) that the paint went on easily, which it did, and mostly only needed two coats to give a really good finish. I also did the colour consultation which really helped narrow down the colours and the team have been so helpful since whether it’s a query about whether I needed primer for the woodwork (no) or I’ve accidentally ordered the wrong amount, please could I change it (yes!) I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company-it feels like a small, family business and everyone seems passionate about it-a delight!”
