“Edward Bulmer's paints were a delight to use both in application and the absence of any strong odours - the clean-up was also easy. My first time using the brand, I took the plunge with Invisible Green / Pea Green / Milk White in a north facing principal bedroom and was delighted with the result. My daughter was looking for a softer, neutral shade for a south facing room and is really pleased with the varied tonal shades of Jonquil on her walls and woodwork. Our sitting room was refreshed with Welmish Blue and Pearl. Great depth and warmth to all the colours, highly recommend.”

“Beautiful paints that we have used consistently since their beginnings years ago. Used properly with good preparation, they give excellent coverage and the quality of light reflected from the natural pigments is beautiful. Even in a commercial property these paints have stood the test of time!”

“Terrible, uncaring, diabolical service. We paid extra for a before-10:00am delivery, eventually after wasting half a day fruitlessly chasing they delivered after 2pm, four hours late and without any kind of apology, especially as we had to send four painters home half a day early as a result. Never again.”

We’re very sorry to hear about the disruption caused by the delayed delivery and understand how frustrating this must have been. Your order was placed on Thursday for a pre-10am Friday delivery, which we processed promptly and booked correctly with the courier. Unfortunately, once orders leave us, delivery timings are managed by the courier, and on this occasion they failed to meet the agreed service level. We raised the issue with them immediately and always aim to provide a high standard of service, so we're very sorry that this experience fell short. “Superb and efficient service coordinating the order and delivery with the foreman and client, thank you. This followed support in the selection of colours for an important redesign at a central Kensington property. “I swithered beforehand between, 'Mummy', 'Chocolate' and 'Hawtree' for the perfect brown for the dining room, I feel I've hit the jackpot as the light seems to do all the heavy lifting and the paint just harmonises. The paint itself was a delight to use. The pigments are so consistent I could almost have stopped after the first coat, which I have not come across with other paint brands. The natural colour is wonderfully adaptable, appearing warm in morning light and candlelight and cool on overcast days, constantly harmonising with it's environment. I used both the emulsion and water-based paint for radiators, both behaved well. Highly recommend.”

“The paints are always such lovely colours but coverage can be patchy. I painted an already light pink room an EB shade of pink. I used 2.5l of paint to apply a THIRD coat to the ceiling (probably 18sqm) and there are still patches in places. EB kindly sent me another 2.5l of paint to apply a fourth coat but I've never had to apply four coats of paint before.. A shame because I've used before and the colours are lovely, but wasn't hugely impressed this time around.”

“I sat last winter in the lounge I really only use at night, and suddenly, and I'm usually an off-white/whiteish kind of girl, I was craving colour. A rich lovely green. And of I went searching. And this was the green that I was drawn back to again and again. I live in a simple little house. Nothing fancy. And now I'm sitting in my lounge, warmed and charmed by this beautiful colour. It was a joy to paint with. And it's a joy to be cocooned by.”

“I have used Edward Bulmer paints in five of our rooms. Despite being painted five years ago the colour has endured, they’re still fresh and most importantly I still love them. We’re decorating our boot room soon and Emma has been so helpful. When I was last in London I visited the Ebury Street showroom, and had fabulous advice from the person there too.”

“I adore Edward Bulmer paints.The pigment, finish and ease of use, combined with the company's natural, toxin-free, plant based ethos make for a brand and product I want in our family home. Most recently we used Lilac Pink in our kitchen. It works beautifully in the space and has stood the test of time in a busy room. I would recommend EB paints without hesitation.”

“Love the paint but unfortunately the quantity calculator told me to purchase an extra 2.5L tin of paint which went unopened, and as they don't do returns that's £90 wasted”

Thank you for your feedback, we shall look into this, it is usually very accurate, the paint does have a very generous coverage. Our painted is mixed to order and is therefore a bespoke item, you won't find it in dusty tins in DIY Stores. As a natural product we use minimal preservative in line with our ethos that we shouldn't overproduce products to increase waste for the planet. “We found coverage not good but colour was great. I paid for express delivery but it took 5 days..... I don't think the price was really justified.”

Dear Sandra, Thank you for your feedback, we re sorry to hear that the courier system was delayed, although they are a they are a third party, unfortunately we rely on their service to get the paint to you. Your paint left us the next working day, we can offer you free delivery on your next order. Please do contact the technical department with any queries on coverage - this is usually exceptional according to decorators, it would be good to know the preparation used for the walls you painted? “These are the worst paints ever! The colours are beautiful but the actually paint is hopeless, the emulsion rubs off when giving a light clean and don’t even mention the eggshell, five coats and it still needs more. Ethos good, colour choice good, quality useless and not very eco friendly that samples are pre-made instead of made to order.”

We are truly sorry to hear this. Have you tried to contact us? Please could you contact us directly as we are struggling to find a record of your order but possibly it was ordered under a different name? We would be only too pleased to advise you of best practice when using natural paint. It is helpful to know what material the eggshell paint went onto and which primer you have used, as other primers do have plastics in, which create a barrier to natural products making them hard to adhere and cure. Our paints are all freshly mixed to order, ref the samples these are all also freshly mixed at our Herefordshire HQ and we only have stock of a limited number of each in order to process and our deliver our orders promptly to our customers.
