“Easily the worst customer experience I’ve ever had. I’m left out of pocket with an unusable room, no guarantee of a refund and the added expense of buying new paint to do the job over again. The tins arrived with dried paint all over the rims and streaks of unmixed white paint throughout, I had to paddle mix thoroughly. The application left whitish streaks everywhere. In terms of coverage, I went through an entire 5 litre tin in a modest 22 sq m room and still ran out (had to leave one wall with only a single coat). Both tins began seeping rust into the paint within just a few days. I’ve done a a fair bit of decorating in my life and have never had worse results. Customer service was slow. After some insistence, the business owner got in touch, claiming to be at a loss to understand what went wrong. Nearly three weeks after my initial complaint and despite me providing multiple photos, videos and answering questions about my paint application process with meticulous details— I still felt blamed and was told me that people simply try their paint, change their minds, and expect the company to foot the bill. Quite clearly this is an issue others have reported. I agreed when asked to return the unused paint for in-house lab assessment. I was contacted by another member of staff member with a long paragraph with no punctuation whatsoever, just something incoherent about my return and collection arrangements. Not sure what the next step is. I need some transparency and still want my return. I asked what testing criteria they plan to use, if it would be an independent lab and if I will receive a copy of the report. The owner shut me down, said she had no interest in answering my questions and instead blamed me some more for not following technical advice regarding the mist coat (I mist coated of course but it wasn't THEIR primer). Their colours are really beautiful and obviously their paint is better for the environment but I'll never risk a repeat of this experience. I would love to upload photos but don't seem to have that option.”

“The paint is a pleasure to work with because it doesn't drip, it dries quickly, it doesn't require multiple coats. It has a full-bodied smooth finish, beautiful to look at. We're using our new favourite, Clay, because it seems to be just the right colour for everything from walls to chairs.”

“We used Brick in the dining room of our house and it completely transformed the room from a cold, unloved space into the warmest room in the house. Soft in daylight and beautifully enveloping by candlelight. Lovely paint to use, easy to apply and no smell at all while we decorated.”

“I have loved using Edward Bulmers beautiful paints for several years. The colours are perfectly pigmented and the quality of the paint as it goes in the wall is a dream. I wouldn't use any other brand now. My favourite has been Jonquil and Eau de Nil.”

“I have been using EB paints in the renovation of our Georgian home. I love our ‘invisible green’ hallway and ‘jonquil’ snug. The quality of the paint is fabulous: the coverage is impressive and the almost pure pigment of the colours is gorgeous. And knowing that the lime-plastered stone walls can breathe and that the product is totally natural is so reassuring. Looking forward to getting cracking with ‘Welmish blew’ in our sitting room.”

“Terrible service, paid nearly 10% of order value for delivery, 2-4 day delivery. 7 days later I am still trying to find out where my paint is. Emailed the orders address on 5th day, no response. Called Edward Bulmer the next day, spoke to someone who didn't really seem interested in helping as it was with courier, said they would call back, never called back. Happy to take your money, not happy to deliver your paint or help you find out where it is.”

“I ordered a colour chart online a few weeks ago, which led me to the Edward Bulmer website. I loved reading about the earth and mineral pigments and natural ingredients. I’d never really stopped to think about what goes into paint before, so it’s been a real eye opener whilst trying to reduce plastic and synthetic materials in our home for my family.”

“I do love Edward Bulmer paint , it goes on like a dream and the coverage is amazing. The new Iznik colour is the colour I’ve been looking for for anges to go in our rather dark and dingy granny flat bathroom- it’s bought it to life, totally joyful.”

“Beautiful colours and gorgeous rich emulsion. I don't use anything else. No odour, vegan friendly luxurious emulsion. Need less as the emulsion gives a good coverage. Far better quality than anything I have previously used and not much more expensive. Very happy customer. I used to hate painting but really enjoy using Edward Bulmer. It makes the job far more enjoyable and easier when using good quality products”

“The paint is a beautiful rich colour and my only slight hesitation is that it doesn't have the best coverage, so I've needed about twice as much paint as anticipated, because it takes around 3 coats to get even and full coverage. Apart from that though, the paint is beautiful and has truly elevated my bedroom (I used Freudian from the chatsworth collection!) It arrived quickly and was well-packaged.”

“The paint is beautiful, and to understand the ethos of the company matters. Your home is somewhere that you are creating to capture memories, to dream, to laugh and love. Your home deserves the best, to breathe and settle around you. My home is a part of me, and as a rural property it is part of the landscape around me, Edward Bulmer paints feel that they complement that perfectly. I haven't found the right colours for the rest of my house, but I'll keep looking, especially for my study, the most personal room in my home. Edward Bulmer paints will help me create my restful space in a stunning tone, I just haven't found it yet.”
