“Excellent quality fish. Great delivery. Prices have gone up recently with surcharges for some (most!) fish so no as good value as it used to be. Will probably buy less frequently in future. More information on the conservation status of each fish would be useful.”

“Very fresh fish delivered to my door! Excellent quality. The range of the fish box has been very good up to the penultimate box, where I received a lot flat fish like plaice which weren’t terribly interesting eg ‘dabs’ - which appeared to be another variation on plaice (I always thought ‘dabs’ referred to small skate but maybe I’m mistaken). For this reason I chose to specify my fish last time I ordered - it worked out more expensive, but at least I knew what I was getting.”

“Excellent selection of local fresh fish. Prepacked in 2 portion packs, is convenient for freezing. Delivery is prompt with sensible packaging. Portion sizes could be a little larger for the men in the household.”

“We have ordered the “daily catch” mixed box three times now and the quality is always excellent. The transportation is carefully done to ensure that everything is fresh and carefully packed, I would have given 5 stars but for a very personal preference, it’s a mixed box,but I’ve discovered I’m not a great fan of Gurnard. I love everything else 😂👍👍👍”

“We were very disappointed with the Lemon Sole. We were expecting whole fish. In our opinion they were far too small to be filleted, so thin you could see through them and impossible to cook”

“Before lockdown Hamiltons used to be at Romsey market each Saturday and most weeks we were customers, however with a return to more normal they no longer work markets. It was wonderful being able to buy direct and the quality was excellent and very reasonable, the only downside being not having the cheerful interaction on the stall”

“Quality of fish and amount very good value for money Disappointed with the selection that was sent gurnard and John Dory, needed to be in master chef to know what to do with it. Expected to see a few bones, the red mullet had at least 12-14 bones in. Best regards Ann”
