“Delivery was good fish a bit small”

“Your mussels are the best we have eaten Europe wide . The herring milt was about 80 %. The dressed crab meat seemed to be largely small claw meat besides the carapace was broken in all three . Freshness of crabs and mussels was very good . Thank you .”

“Very happy with the quality and freshness of the fish supplied. A little disappointed that the fish supplied is all from the “cheaper” species, i.e. whiting, plaice, haddock, lemon sole ( very small fillets), hake. None of the “possibles”, John Dory, Turbot, Halibut, Monkfish, etc.”

“All fish I had last time and this order very good all except the mussels they were awful I cooked them same day they were delivered ,I don't believe they were live mussels like they were ment to be they could not be eaten it was just like skin in side the shells I think they had been frozen will not buy these again from Hamiltons I will keep buying from an online supplier from Cornwall that I cannot fault .”

“Quality and freshness of the fish supplied was excellent. The only negative point for us was the inclusion of mackerel which we really do not enjoy and will be thrown. I realise this is personal choice, but isn't mentioned on the website.”

“Lovely fish, only problem was the frozen scallops weren't frozen when they arrived. I think they should be positioned at the bottom of the box not at the top as they were! I also bought fresh ones, so froze those instead and ate the defrosted ones! Very delicious.”

“The products ordered arrive promptly and were well packaged - always important when ordering fresh fish. The packaging kept the fish cool and was environmentally friendly too. As a South Walian in exile, I was delighted to be able to order bara lawr - laver bread. My only disappointment was the whole kippers - The smallest I have ever seen, so not such good value as I had thought. The taste was okay, though not as good as Manx, Loch Fyne or Craster ones. A refund had been made with an apology as the quantity of kippers I had requested was not available, but with hindsight I did not mind that at all. I'll be ordering again, but probably not kippers.”

“Ordered the Brixham Fish box for the first time. Delivery instructions were clear and timely, packaging was really good quality and the fish tasted amazing- fresh and good size portions. It would have been nice to see a leaflet explaining what each fish was (I had to Google one of them) and/or suggested ways to cook it, but appreciate that that is not necessarily down to the fishmongers to provide! Would definitely order again.”
