“The fish is always very fresh and very well prepared. It always arrives at the time specified. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is I find the smoked fish a little strong for my taste”

“Would have clicked excellent but your delicious fish has become very expensive and a friend has remarked upon this too. I will still buy your products but perhaps less frequently. Maybe local customers should pay less as delivery costs are less or we could collect. Best wishes Angela”

“I think Hamiltons fish is fresh and delicious but expensive. The Haddock filets this time were very small. The scallops I am looking forward to eating but I would prefer them without the rows.”

“Have used Hamilton's fish a few times always found them very good.packing and delivery very good .quality of the fish is also good except the sardines which are frozen they are poor so avoid .will buy from them again with confidence that the fish will be good”

“The choice of fish is excellent. The service is excellent. I've been buying fish from them monthly since the pandemic(ish). During the last 4 months their fish prices have risen significantly. When comparing with my local supermarket Hamiltons is 30% more per kg on a like for like basis. But not all of Hamiltons choices are available in the supermarket and I don't have a local fishmonger. Going forward I will look at a combination of price & choice and buy accordingly.”

“Well packed not frozen delivered on time. Very fresh and delicious tasting because of this. Would have given five stars if I could have purchased fresh jellied eels and whelks! However small details considering most people would be “afraid to try such food” . Plus list the amount of protein in the fish as I have to be aware for kidney disease. Overall great score fir Hamilton’s fish.”

“Lovely fish and shellfish of top quality. I have been a customer for over 2 years and it all comes vacuum packed so can be frozen. Last time I ordered, as we are now outside their personal delivery area, it was couriered. DPD were on time and the fish was in perfect condition but out of necessity it came with 5 chilled packages and a large woolly “blanket’ . I have no way of satisfactorily recycling the plastic bags and no use for the blanket. It seems such a waste to consign it all to the landfill waste!”

“It's great to get some fish that you wouldn't normally buy with the lucky dip of what has been caught. Not quite so keen on the mackerel as it's a meaty fish and has a few bones.”

“Find it expensive now that there is no longer free local delivery. We struggled even before to reach the £20 threshold for that but now that it is £60 we have to freeze a lot of our purchases and order much less frequently whereas we would prefer to order a small amount to have fresh each week.”
