“Superb set etc with my only quibble beingbthat we don't need allofnthe aspect ratios. Being a 1955 film it was made for widescreen and 1.75:1 is most likely the correct ratio, with 1.85:1 being too tight and 1.66:1 acceptable. We don't need the 1.37:1. Just pick the corret one and save on discs and expense.”
“Product itself is outstanding and highly recommended. A shame perhaps that despite pre ordering the day it went on sale that I had to wait a few days after the release date to get a copy.
Want to support businesses but I would have got it quicker by going via Amazon and not paid up front.
But see Hammer have changed delivery service so maybe next time…
However I waited 40 years or so for it to come to 4k so a couple of days longer was no hardship 😊”
“The site is user friendly and easily navigable. Your customer service department, whom I have had experience of recently, is excellent in dealing with enquiries.
I do, however, have a problem with your release strategy. Why can't you release separate 4k and Blu-ray box sets which include all of the physical bonus material like the booklets, comics, art cards and posters? To force people like myself, who want the physical bonus material but don't have a 4k set-up, to buy an expensive set which includes a format I have no means of playing doesn't seem right.
Then there's your choice of courier, but that's another matter entirely.”
“Liking the new releases of classic Hammer films in the limited collector's editions, my only gripe is the high postage cost on top of already high price when ordering direct, when I can get with free postage from elsewhere.”
“My favorite Hammer film is the Gorgon 1964, followed by the Curse of Frankenstein 1957.
Also I've watched Terrence Fishers "the man who could cheat death" starring Christopher Lee seriously right through the whole movie also.”
