“I placed an online order for collection. I went into store and ended up spending 3.5 hours trying to find my order as it couldn’t be located. Total waste of time and effort. Eventually it had to be partially refunded. Very disappointing experience.”
“Purchased leather sofa's at a cost of £4000 from Housing Units (what a disappointment). Started showing signs of leather creasing/sagging within the first few months & looked rather unsightly. After 6 months the creasing/sagging has gotten worse & looks appalling. After complaining to HU they sent a technician to inspect (supposed to be independent but does all HU's repair work??) - report stated interior padding had no elasticity thus causing creasing/sagging of leather. HU offered to replace interior padding, however the technician informed us that the same thing would occur again (what would be the point in replacing the padding if it was going to do it again?)! Requested a refund but HU say there is no fault (!) & they are not prepared to do anything further. I feel HU are just trying to fob me off & are unwilling to take responsibility for unsatisfactory goods. Next step is to get in touch with the furniture ombudsman. Would not recommend”
“Sent us a damaged item (packaged a lamp without any protection in the box) and gave every excuse under the sun as to why they couldn’t provide a replacement before July (over 6 months away). Poor customer service and couldn’t care less when I’ve tried to find a solution. Awaiting my refund and will not purchase from here again.”
“Great to hear that Customer Services are now prepared to deal with our complaint! Because for a week we had to call them everyday just to get a response, which amounted to "Nothing we can do, you should have checked the goods within 48hrs, if your not happy contact the Ombudsman" The reason we took so long to check the goods (Which we have explained numerous times) was because we were between homes in Manchester and Wales and had all our furniture in storage in Wales. We didn't expect to have to travel to our storage unit to check there were legs supplied with our £1500 order! It has now been 3weeks since we informed Housing Units of the omission and still "Customer Services" are dealing with it! How difficult is it to say "Sorry valued customer we will find you a set of legs or replace the bench and it will take X weeks to do that" We even wrote to your Director Mr Fox and haven't even had the courtesy of a reply! Regardless of whether we opened the package within 24hrs of dispatch or 24 weeks, the fact of the matter and the whole issue is that the product is not fit for purpose and its up to Housing Units to put this matter right as a matter of urgency!”
“HOUSING UNITS are misleading customers in order to raise cash. They are saying 2 week delivery on the website, take your money, then dont deliver. Then eventually refund you after many calls into complaints. I have raised an ombudsman complaint for them to investigate the viability of this company. AVOID AVOID AVOID.”
