“Absolulty terriable customer service, they didnt read my messages, emails or order notes before making and sending my bespoke shoes. they were 2 narrow. i also requested the sole to be looked at at the material is very short on the sole. there emails weree blunt and have not responded to my enquiries.”

Thanks for taking the time to leave us with a review, we're sad to hear that your shoes did not fit. We note that the order was of one of our 'bespoke' styles which would not have been able to be returned regardless, however had you ordered something not 'bespoke' then we could happily take them back and work with you to confirm your right size going forward for the bespoke pair.

This will help should you wish to try again. Further, if the length of the shoe is OK but it is just the width, it is possible to get them stretched. A local shoe repair shop will easily be able to help!

“Recently I had ordered 2 pairs of latin dance shoes and was not the perfect fit...but because I ordered them in Narrow, I thought, like every other company... I couldn't return them, so I decided to finally order a 3rd pair in extra narrow. I had got an email saying that I would have to pay an extra fee. I asked the person if just for this one time, this small fee could be waived, since it's already my 3rd pair of shoes I would be buying within a month... I was refused... At my disbelief and disappointment, I cancelled my 3rd order and decided to go back with the previous dance shoe company I was buying my dance shoes before. It's very sad to see that such a big and renown company like International DanceShors, was not willing to accommodate a new client that obviously would be a returning client over and over....”

Thanks for taking the time to review us. Our standard fittings are Regular, Narrow, Wide and Extra Wide, and because these are standard for us because we know how much peoples feet vary, we do allow returns for these which as you say is positive, because that is not the case with other brands who in many cases only even offer one fitting and for others, don't allow returns.
However for fittings outside of those scopes, there is extra work done - hand-cutting of insoles, differences to the lasting of the shoes, and that extra time means there is a surcharge on them, and those ones are not returnable. All our shoes are hand-made in the UK and it's a very expensive country to produce. We're a small team as a family business and when shoes require that customisation, we do have to charge for it regardless of other orders.

“I have ordered the shoes at the beginning of July (07/07) and got them only 01/08 ... For the whole month, no one knew where are my shoes and when they will arrive - every week I heard: "Next week...". Plus, DPD delivery charged me extra 38 euro (which is 45% of the shoe price while on the website of International Dance Shoes it says that the customers from the EU have to pay only VAT (which is 20% in Austria)... Additional expenses were not stated anywhere... Overall, I am very disappointed that the shoes came so late and turned out to be much more expensive. For such a price I could buy much better shoes and get them immediately in Vienna... The shoes themselves are quite ok, although for me it seems like they are not for a "regular" foot competence but rather for a "slim" one.”
“Having bought International Dance Shoes for many years, and been extremely satisfied in the past, I ordered another 2 pairs of a style I had purchased three times previously, in a regular size 8 as usual. When they arrived I found that the sizing had been altered, and what had fitted perfectly in the past was now shorter and narrower at the ends of my toes. I contacted the company and was informed that they had indeed resized the shoes, and if they were now too small, I would need to order a bespoke size 8.5 (or perhaps a size 9), at the increased cost of a bespoke shoe, with no possibility of trying a pair to see if they might fit, and with no possibility of a refund if they don't.”
