“I'm a contact lens wearer and I had been regularly suffering from blepharitis. I've experienced eye problems such as styes and even a chalazion most recently. At the end of last year, I'd seen YouTube videos and information about the NuLids device to help keep the eyelids/eyelashes cleaner, with a potential bonus of helping with dry eyes; while I don't experience dry eyes severely enough for treatment, I had noticed my eyes feeling a little dry at times.
I'm happy to report that the regular use of the NuLids device (usually right after a shower) over the past year has cut down significantly on the blepharitis and other annoying eye issues (including the dry eyes). As a bonus, the NuLids gel provides a soothing/refreshing feeling right after usage. The only reason I can't claim that I've eliminated the cases of blepharitis is because I'd stopped using the NuLids device as part of my daily routine from time to time, only to start experiencing the tell-tale symptoms of blepharitis (and to be reminded to start using the device daily again). I'm just about due for an order of replacement tips; needless to say, I plan to order more tips and gel so that I can continue using the NuLids device.”
“At first, the tips felt rather harsh on my eyelids and I wasn't sure the system would work for me. After a few weeks of using NuLIds, my eyelids did feel cleaner and less irritated. I'm still evaluating if the system has helped increase tear flow. The costs are rather high to use it daily on a long-term basis.”
“I was wary of trying Nulids because I have a mild case of ocular rosacea. My ophthalmologist encouraged me to give it a try. I am so glad I did! I have severe dry eyes and have found my eyes less dry and swollen than usual. I now need to use less rewetting drops than I usually do. After using it for three weeks I have noticed that the Nulids treatment has been much more effective than using a heated compress on my eyes once per day. In fact, the heat treatment appeared to exacerbate my ocular rosacea but the Nulids treatmentdoes not. I am careful to use the Nulids device very gently on my eyelids. I also have found for me personally it is most gentle on my eyes if I use a squirt of the Nulids gel on the device tip for each eye (as opposed to one squirt for both eyes).”
