This has been the least empathetic and least understanding experience I have ever had with customer care. I am an NHS staff member and use the free Park & Ride scheme with a valid permit, having surrendered my OUH parking permit as required. Unfortunately, my car broke down and had to be taken to a garage. I informed the relevant teams immediately. During this period, I was using a courtesy car provided by the garage and paid for parking every day without fail. On one occasion, after working a late shift, I unintentionally forgot to pay. As soon as I realised, I contacted my workplace transport team, only to discover that a fine had already been issued. I appealed the charge three separate times. Each appeal included additional evidence: email correspondence, proof that my own car was off the road, and confirmation that the vehicle was a courtesy car. Every appeal was rejected within hours, each time using the same impersonal, templated responses, with no acknowledgement of the circumstances or evidence provided. £50 is a significant amount for NHS staff earning only slightly above minimum wage, especially while already facing unexpected car repair costs. This situation required understanding and discretion, but none was shown. Is empathy still part of customer care? In this experience, it appears not.

I want to give a shout out to the pest control team at ODS. The 2 women I spoke to in the office really went the extra mile to help us by speaking directly to the pest officers to sort out the timing for a visit. We were so relieved! Tony and Megan turned up and were fantastic. The problem was diagnosed after careful investigation of our property and solutions put in place. In addition to that we were given advice as to how to keep the pests from getting in, in future. It was all done with good humour and expertise. Thanks all very much!

I would like to thank Jason Farnell and the team for a first class job in adapting the bathroom. from the very start we were treated with the utmost respect and dignity in answering both mine and my mothers needs. Codger started work at 8 am every day arriving earlier some days he was totally professional even taking the time at the end of each day to go through what had been done and what was to be done the following day he and the rest of the team are a credit to the ods group and I would like to give them my sincere thanks for an excellent job and their kind considerate and friendly manner.

ODS is fully engaged and committed to making any project reach its objective in all stages, from the walk and talk to installation. All the staff are friendly, professional, appropriately trained, adaptable and willing to go the 'extra mile' when necessary. Also will provide professional practical advice drawing from extensive, broad experience to achieve the best value for money. Any additional works are priced and agreed upon before installation. ODS is a contractor that is dependable, reliable, value for money and consistently excellent in all aspects of their involvement in any scheme.

Usually a very good service but there are too many occasions when the bins are not emptied and overflow and we have to chase for a collection.

Disappointingly the refuse is not collected because there are things “blocking” them from collecting. In both cases, they could have still collected the bins and then put the back with just - 5m additional walk. Poor service.

Overall the service is efficient. To consider 5 stars, I would prefer one or two more promptly attended phone lines, rather than lots of options to navigate through on the one landline.
