“Yanmar parts are hard to order online in the western United States. Yanmar has carved the US up into distribution territories and for those of us in California, there is not a good mail order parts source (there are good ones on the East Coast and Midwest). It is much less convenient to drive to a parts dealer, discuss needs with them, find out their pricing and wait for them to order parts they don’t have in stock than to just access a website and gather what you need. It’s a bit of a surprise considering that California is the center of technological innovation in the US, but it is what it is. I was initially reluctant to order from a UK based company--I assumed shipping would be slow and expensive. My experience was the opposite. I was amazed to receive my two recent orders within approximately 5 days of ordering. Parts4Engines pricing seems very competitive. Shipping was not expensive. (Note: this may all be changing due to the current US administration--don't get me started on that--but they have eliminated the "de minimis value tariff exclusion" which used to exclude small value shipments from tariff collection--so at this time, August 2025, many vendors are reevaluating shipping policies for US customers--not sure how Parts4Engines will respond). Shipping aside–the Parts4Engines website is excellent. They provide detailed diagrams specific to various engines making parts identification simple. Yanmar changes part numbers from time to time, so getting the correct one can be a challenge. It was easy with P4E. I appreciated that OEM parts and aftermarket parts are available. I replaced most of my OEM hoses with silicon ones–an example of an aftermarket part that is superior to the OEM version. Everything I ordered fit perfectly and works great. I will continue to use P4E as my main supplier (I have two boats with Yanmar engines to maintain) as long as my government doesn’t make it impossible!”

“I have up untill the last order been very pleased with the products and speed of delivery, also communication normally very good. But on ordering new saildrive rubbers found them to be 1 year out of date when I complained was told send back we don't have upto date ones. This was impossible as I was leaving for trinidad 2 days later to fit them. My insurance company says they go on the date stamp. So now I have to change them in 6 years and not seven. Not amused Simon Eastmond”
