Hi Robert, Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m really sorry to hear about your experience. After checking all of our inboxes thoroughly, we’re unable to find any previous emails from you under your name or email address. Please rest assured that we respond to all genuine customer queries as quickly as possible, and no emails go unanswered on our side. I’m very sorry if it felt otherwise. We’ve also checked with UPS, and unfortunately they had not provided us with any update or notification regarding a delivery issue. Upon reviewing the tracking manually, it appears that the package was damaged in transit, which explains why it remains undelivered. Sadly, without communication from UPS, we had no way of knowing this until now. I completely understand your frustration — this situation is far from what we would want for any of our customers. I have now gone ahead and issued you a full refund while we open an investigation with UPS to understand what went wrong and to help prevent this happening again in the future. That said, I would also like to kindly mention that while we welcome all feedback — both good and bad — we do not appreciate threats within reviews or communications. We are a small, hardworking team doing our very best to help every customer, and we always aim to resolve any issues fairly and professionally. Again, I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience caused, and I appreciate your patience and understanding while we try to put this right. Kind regards, Gemma Customer Service Parts4Engines

If you are from outside the United Kingdom, don't even think about buying on this website, you will pay your bill with the transport but when you receive the package the company will ask you for import fees and you will pay triple the value of the product. Don't waste your time or your money.

I'm really sorry to hear that the import charges were unexpected for you. We completely understand that these fees can be frustrating, and we never want our customers to feel misled. To clarify, the shipping fee paid at checkout covers the cost of delivery by the courier, but import fees—including VAT and customs duties—are set by the destination country's government and collected by the courier on behalf of customs. These charges are standard for international purchases and are not something we, as a UK-based business, have control over. We make every effort to be transparent by stating this information at checkout and in multiple locations on our website, including our EU & International Delivery section. We also offer a FedEx Pre-Paid VAT option for some EU countries, which eliminates surprise charges at delivery. I understand that international fees can make purchases more expensive, and I genuinely appreciate your feedback. If there’s anything I can do to help, please let me know. Best regards, Gemma

Hi Alain, Thank you for your feedback. I’m really sorry that the additional UPS customs and shipping charges came as a surprise. We completely understand how frustrating these extra costs can be. Just to clarify, UPS charges import VAT and brokerage fees, which are set by French customs, not by us. We do our best to inform customers about potential import fees at checkout and throughout our website, but I appreciate that it would have been helpful to have this information clearer before ordering. If UPS hasn’t provided you with an invoice yet, I’d recommend reaching out to their customer service for a breakdown of the charges. If there’s anything I can do to help, please let me know! We also offer FedEx Pre-Paid VAT for orders under £300, which helps avoid unexpected customs charges—something to keep in mind for any future orders! 😊- Gemma

Hi Mads, I have looked into this for you and I can see that the shipment has outstanding fees due of £35.44 or DKK 317.20. These charges are- Government Charges: DKK102.20 Brokerage Charges: DKK172.00 VAT: DKK43.00 Please be aware if these import/VAT fees are not paid the shipment may be destroyed as UPS suggested, this will mean no refund can be made. Alternatively, the shipment may be returned to the UK and the cost of that return will be deduced from the refund amount. The shipment has been held in a sorting facility pending payment, this explains the delay in delivery. I hope this makes sense, if you need any further clarification please email me at gemma@partsengines.com - Gemma

Subsequently, a case has been opened with the ID C-162585586. They explained they are going to contact me once they have looked into this package for me, I will keep you informed. Please accept our apologies on behalf of FedEx for the delays- Gemma

Definitly not recommanded. I order from them some items for a total of 97 euros including 16 euros of delivery fees to France. At order time the screen was showing "taxes 0". Some day later i got an email from UPS saying i had to pay 40 euros as additional taxes. The UPS guy NEVER SHOWED UP at my address. The package have been returned to them, or "might be destroyed" they don t really know ... For 97 euros this is the only thing i got, an email saying : "Once we receive the package I will issue a refund for the parts minus initial delivery and minus the cost of return to the UK. Please note the cost of return can be higher than the initial delivery as the same discounted rates do not apply." It's just stealing. DO NOT SHOP with that company, especially if you order from outside UK.

Hi Clement, We have responded to your most recent email but here is a copy of that response. UPS will not attempt delivery until the customs fees are paid. They may try to contact you, but a courier will not arrive at the address. They’ve informed us that they sent a request for payment to the Customs Authority, which was not acknowledged by the deadline. As a result, the package is either being returned to the UK or destroyed. We contacted UPS this morning to get an update after reading your concerns about the VAT charges online, where you mentioned you were going to refuse delivery (google reviews) a week ago. We sent a response explaining the return costs so you could make an informed decision. The claim that "UPS said the package was refused due to VAT fees are just false, or basic lies" in your email, under UPS's terms and conditions, refusing to pay customs fees is considered refusing the package, as outlined on our website. Refusing payment is the same as refusing delivery. We understand that VAT charges can be expensive and inconvenient, but they are a legal requirement when importing goods from overseas. Each destination country sets its own tariffs and laws. In the UK, for example, customers pay 20% VAT at the checkout, and we handle the payment to UK authorities. However, as we ship to multiple countries, it’s difficult to keep track of every country’s VAT rates and charges, as these can vary and change frequently. We completely agree that paying 40 Euros on a 70 Euro order, especially when delivery has been paid for, seems unreasonable – and it is. The reason the cost is so high is due to UPS’s admin fees. Here’s the breakdown of the charges in France: Government fees: €18.00 Brokerage fees: €17.50 VAT (T.V.A.): €3.50 Choosing UPS as the courier increases the cost significantly due to their fees. FedEx, on the other hand, offers lower rates, which is why we recommend them at checkout for EU orders under €300. Please be aware that we make no money from this – it’s the courier and customs who do. If VAT is left unpaid, the package is returned to the UK, but at a higher cost. Unfortunately, we can’t cover this as it’s the importer’s responsibility to be aware of import fees when ordering from overseas. We do have this information on our website in several places. You may receive a partial refund, depending on the return costs to the UK. Once UPS provides us with the documentation, we’ll issue a refund if applicable, after covering those costs. We’re truly sorry for the high fees you’ve faced with this order. If there was a way we could help our overseas customers avoid these costs, we absolutely would.

Hi There, Thank you for the feedback, good or bad we appreciate it. I am glad to read you are happy with the water pump, but I do understand the frustration with the import fees and VAT. We charge a delivery fee on behalf of the couriers. When exporting goods from the UK to Denmark, UK VAT is not applicable. However, Danish VAT still applies. Given that we ship globally and each country has its own import and export laws and VAT regulations, we do not advertise specific VAT rates. As a UK-based company, it is challenging to be aware of the VAT rates for every country, as these are set by each respective government. For shipments from the UK to EU countries, VAT will always be charged according to the rate set by the destination country. During the checkout process, we suggest choosing FedEx as your courier for EU destinations. FedEx includes Pre-Paid VAT in their shipping prices, ensuring that no additional fees are incurred at Danish customs. In contrast, couriers like UPS and DHL do not include Pre-Paid VAT and may charge an administrative/service fee for collecting the VAT, which will be added to the overall cost. You can find the VAT information on our website under the headings Shipping, FAQ, Delivery and EU delivery. I hope this makes sense :)) Thank you for shopping with us - Gemma

Ordered parts, but need to cancel as they were aftermarket product. Despite the request to stop delivery and more than 20 emails sent, the customer support was not able to stop the order. Still have to deal with it after more then 10 days. An update the customer service blamed UPS for not been able to return the package and I received the email to revise the rating. They decline the request to provide return shipment labels and did not answer to question what customs forms are required to return package to UK.

Hi Vladislav, I wanted to follow up on the email I sent this morning regarding your request. Since the cancellation request was submitted outside of our office hours, it was not processed until the next business day, by which time UPS had already collected your package. We promptly requested a cease and return with UPS, and I’ve attached proof of this request for your reference. Unfortunately, the UPS agent handling the request was not aware that the package had already left the UK and was en route. As a result, the package arrived in the destination country later that day, and at that point, a return to the UK was no longer feasible according to UPS, so they proceeded with delivery. I contacted UPS to express concerns about the unclear guidance we received, as we were informed the package would be returned, but this information was incorrect. We are willing to accept a return of the package; however, we are unable to provide a pre-paid return label. The item description indicates that the product is aftermarket, and therefore we cannot cover the return postage in this case. Additionally, UPS has declined to return the package at their expense. Our team has made several attempts to resolve this issue with UPS, including filing a formal complaint. We have not yet received a response. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and assure you that we did everything possible to intercept the package. - Parts4engines Team

Good Afternoon, I have looked into this delay for you and I can see that it was delayed in customs as there seemed to be some information missing. UPS initiated contact with the sender to obtain clearance information. Once received, UPS will submit for clearance. This information was provided by myself to UPS and it now has a scheduled delivery date of the 12th of June between 9:15- 13:15, # 1Z2V7Y256837501837 If you do not receive the package on the 12th please contact me via support@parts4engines.com and I will be happy to assist. Good Afternoon, I have looked into this for you and I can see that the package was delivered on the 12th of June at 4:37PM, signed for by yourself. The reason for the delay was because UPS did not receive payment for import fees from you. So, as a result they were unable to release the package. However, this is the information I gathered from UPS if this is incorrect please let me know ! Kind Regards, Gemma
