“Well, the box of the alternator came broken, but it was well packed so I hope it will work. Filters of gasoil...perfect. Filter of oil...not very good finished...the one I bought my first time was perfect, so I just think bad luck this time( not fault of parts4engines, it is French made)...Impeller perfect”

“Thank you for your work. The shop works fine, but the whole delivery, customs clearance procedure is terrible. I don't know if the problems are only in Lithuania or in the whole EU. Please move to Europe :)”

Hello There David, Thank you so much for your review !!! I am glad the buying experience from our website for you MD2030 parts was smooth sailing. I completely sympathise with the customs procedures and how difficult it can be to get the item through in regards to the cost and the information customs demand. Some countries custom authorities can be stricter and the process can require more time than others, but on the whole you are not alone. We are working at the moment on ways the bring these costs down and make buying from us a lot easier for our overseas customers. Our office and warehouse are based in the UK but we are looking into ideas that would massively benefit customers like yourself. “Was sold damaged parts. Sent picture of item that was damaged and was contacted and refunded for damaged part promptly . I wish more business had these values.”

Oh no! Sorry to see this, Robert. We never want to leave a customer with a damaged part and no recourse. We would be happy to offer a refund for the gasket if you would prefer to have your money back - it'd be £7.00 for the gasket which is roughly £9.16. Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, Jose. We completely understand how frustrating the taxes can be, especially when you're not expecting it. We do our best to try and make our European customers aware of the VAT and import fees that come from using certain courier services but be assured that we are working on a way to show these fees upfront. One of the more challenging aspects for us after Brexit is being able to show the VAT costs on goods sold to the EU - hopefully we can rectify the visibility soon! - Jacq

“Thank You for receiving new 4.108 water pump. Last time I ordered same pump 10-2015 and fitted it in 2016 in spring. So it has been running only for 8 boating seasons. Hope this last longer. Shipment by FedEx International Connect Plus was ok. but because of import duties (Finland) it took a few days longer than before Brexit.”

“I originally gave the wrong spec of an engine for which I required a gasket set. (Quoted Perkins should have been Shibarau). On delivery of the gaskets, I noticed the head gasket had the wrong size of bore hence not suitable. I would like to identify a 3 cylinder diesel engine with similar bore size and gasket. (I can add/plug some oil/water holes). Dia of gasket holes to be 83mm, (81.4mm engine bore dia). Distance between bore holes on gasket 10.5mm, (12mm on engine). The gasket has a metal insert around the bore and exhaust valve. If Parts4engines can identify similar, your review will be superb. (See order 4135 for info and photos). Thankyou. Ron Ferguson.”

Hi Conor, Thank you for the 4* review !! I am very pleased to hear that the products and services were good and met expectations. However, I completely understand the inconvenience of the import fees and the broker fees, they can bump the overall freight charge up to an expensive amount. With the delivery address being in Northern Ireland the VAT % is not set by the UK but by the Northern Ireland customs department based on their regulations and we have no influence over this. The courier service then adds a sort of service fee on top of the overall amount, which increases the overall cost. We are working on ways to bring these fees down for our overseas customers, there is information on this across the website but I will suggest putting some information in the checkout procedure rather than before. I am very glad to read that our warehouse staff dispatched this and had it on it's way to France quickly. We do understand how frustrating the VAT/import charges are, these are retrospective to every countries laws and regulations for importing goods, we however are working on ways to bring these charges down for our overseas customers. Please note we do not make any profit from those taxes, they are paid directly to the French Customs Department. - Gemma
