“We bought the Porchetta for New Years Day and really enjoyed it. The meat was good quality with good fat thickness and the crackling excellent. I had to coat the joint where the meat roll ended with more herbal coating. Traditionally Porchetta is a mix of fennel pollen and rosemary rub but used toasted fennel seeds and rosemary to cover the joint and the skin. Cooking time was 3 hours to 65 degrees C.”

“Love this shop - meat is delicious and staff are great. Had our turkey delivered to London amd it arrived on time as planned. I have bought our turkey from here for the last 3 years - by far the best we have ever tried.”

“This was the first time we ordered our Xmas Turkey and Gammon from Salter and King and it was marvellous. Probably the best turkey we have eaten and the gammon was also superb. Many thanks and congratulations.”

“The best turkey butterfly breast! It was like carrying a small child back to the car.. so heavy, but worth the ‘weight’ in gold! If you need help sourcing a nice brown paper carrier bag like your dads, give me a shout! A wonderful shop filled with lovely people!!”

“All the meat we ordered for Christmas was of a high quality. Our 7.3kg turkey was enjoyed by all 10 of us, very succulent and tasty. We also particularly liked the pigs in blankets and the sausage meat made very good stuffing. It's a shame that we live over a 100 miles away but I'd certainly buy from you again if the opportunity arose.”

“Excellent friendly and efficient service as always. Extra guests for Christmas meant we had get some extra beef fillet from elsewhere - a national organic supplier - all of us agreed the S&K fillet was significantly more enjoyable. The Aldeburgh sausages really are the best sausage available. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Salter & King !!”
