“Outstanding meat and it’s always good to know that it is locally produced and slaughtered. We don’t actually eat a huge amount of meat generally, but I always want to when I see what’s in the window. Our favourite butchers by a mile”

“Another cracking Christmas thanks to delicious meat from you all at S & K. Thank you. Cockerel was a first for us this year but it was absolutely delicious - juicy, flavoursome and the perfect size. But, discovery of the season goes to the Oxford Sauce which elevated our traditional Boxing Day Full English to the next level. It was so delicious that we polished off an entire bottle in one sitting. Thank you and here's to a terrific 2026.”

“As usual absolutely delicious Sutton Hoo chicken, beautifully prepared. Although we no longer live in Aldeburgh, we always get our Xmas poultry from Gerard and never been disappointed. Such a friendly and efficient team!”

“Gerard is the only butcher I know who visits the farms and walks the land that he sources from; something not seen since my childhood. We eat considerably less meat than we used to, so it's important to us that we buy the most ethical and best quality possible.
