“The "School Kit" is a fantastic all-in-one solution for students. It has everything needed for a productive day, from high-quality stationery to a durable, stylish case. Highly recommended for both parents and students!”
“Our akonga loved the Sea Cleaners School Kit. We used our kit during our kaitiaki day where we cleaned up the natural bush walkways near our kura. We were able to discuss how cleaning these walkways kept our local waterways clean and prevented it being washed out to our beaches. This kit tied in well with our Thrive and Survive inquiry of endemic species.”
“My year 1 class absolutely loved this kit. The beauty of this kit is its not prescribed so its all open ended learing experiences. It caters to all students and great variety of resources. Hours of fun and creative thinking!”
“Due to external circumstances I was unable to teach this kit. The kit looks interesting, thought provoking and I can see its use and potential in the classroom.”
“The Bricks Farm kit was amazing. It tied in very nicely with the topic we were learning about, which was weather. We took our class on a trip to a local farm and we were able to tie that learning to the bricks farm kit. Students enjoyed the hands on activities that the Lego farm kit provided.”
“Amazing resources, so well thought out and easy to navigate the website. My Year 4's used this as an Independent reading activity and loved learning about the different landmarks and things associated with them. It was great to have the pepeha of the landmark I asked them to translate before guessing where the landmark was. Ngā mihi nui”
“This is an amazing resource! It supported my student teacher to co-plan and deliver engaging lessons about nutrition, chemical reactions as well as a side helping of health and safety and hygiene.”
“Excellent kit. Caters to the right age groups. The classroom benefited from using it. Kaiako, Akonga and whanau all happy with the outcome of this project.”
“The kit was fantastic, a great resource to start classroom discussion. Many of the resource were displayed on the classroom walls and was a great learning tool for students, to not only connect with the classmates but to also see the wider community through a different perspective. It was a great value”
“This kit was amazing! We had so much learning around the Science of baking and chemical reactions. Kids gave it 10 out of 10 and we still talk about it! Thanks to all involved with its creation.”
“This is such a fantastic kit, the kids really enjoyed all the activities. The New Entrants enjoyed working together to make the different parts. It was such a great opportunity to learn more especially to all the ESOL learners in my class. We also used some of the parts during our writing sessions - such a great kit!”
“Kids loved this kit and it linked perfectly with our kaitiakitanga topic. The kids were excited to do regular litter picks around the school and decided to create their own videos and posters to share their learning with others.”
“There is a huge amount of learning within these kits. The children and I have selected a few to really delve into. The little ignighter objects really hooked the kids. A great way to explore NZ history in a fun, interactive way that stimulated logs of discussions.”
“We are still working on the rest of the SchoolKit as it does take time to go through all the postcards.
Students were intrigued of the various artefact duplicates in the kit. We used it to link to our migration topics (useful not only for Y5 and 6, but also our buddy class Y7 and 8)”
“I loved making vegetable cakes. The maths in this: learning to use scales and then adapting the original recipe to add in 80 g of vegies was genius. The kids were delighted with the trials and sharing their creations. Thanks so much. I would repeat this unit every 2 years because we had so much fun. It was great to hear how many students baked over the weekend after our bake day. In the future, I would ask kids to bring in ingredients and definitely ask for parent help. Great unit for year 5/6”
