TL:DR - The verdict: Chin and upper lip, not perfectly hair free but I am okay with retouching every 2-3 weeks depending, as it is much better than waxing imo. As far as the underarms, the hair is definitely less thick and lighter in color (still dark) but it has continued to grow back all along the 12 weeks of treatment, unapologetically so!  Due to scheduling constraints, I was unable to begin treatments as soon as I received my Nood The Flasher 2.0, so I knew I'd possibly miss my return window before finishing the required 8-week treatment. As per the included instruction card in my Nood box, I did the recommended 2 sessions a week for 8 weeks. I did this for both underarms, chin and upper lip. I followed all of the instructions to the tee, the shaving, the exfoliating, the routine, proper placement, the three passes over, etc. and did it all at the highest level (7). I am a light-skinned Latina with dark black hair and of European white, African and Indigenous ancestry; prime candidate for Nood based on their skin tone and hair color guidelines. I began to notice results by week 3 on my chin and upper lip, but the underarms remained unchanged. By week 8 I was not "completely hair free" as Nood claims but I was content enough with much less hair growth and decided I would do an additional 3 sessions a week for another 4 weeks, in the spotty areas still growing hair. All in all, 12 weeks of treatments, totaling 28 sessions on both underarms, chin and upper lip. Plan was to start with these areas before moving to more sensitive and labor intensive areas where the requirement of shaving before a treatment becomes problematic (ingrown hairs, rashes, etc) in between sessions if the Nood doesn't succeed in performing as expected and advertised. Nood The Flasher 2.0 did not perform as claimed, for me, therefore I will not be using it in the bikini area or legs, unfortunately and especially after having read of the struggle others are experiencing with their Nood in these areas. I wrote to Nood about my experience prior to writing this review and their response was basically repeating the instructions I had already stated following and pretty nonchalant.

Seems to work pretty well. I’m 1 week since my last shave in this pic and I can’t believe how little hair is on my legs. Can’t wait to never shave again!

Nood gave me first degree burns on the lowest setting. 10/10 would never try again.

So far with 6 weeks of consistent use, I have noticed a huge reduction in my upper lip hair and in my leg hair. It seems to work really well with thin hair. My armpits and bikini lines have much thicker hair and I have barely noticed any difference with those.

I was skeptical about how long it would take to see results. It is going to take a bit longer than I thought but I am starting to get very hopeful. The only trouble I am experiencing is that even though I have the device on a level 6 the only times I can really see it working is when I get so close to the skin it actually hurts a little. I did it once on accident and noticed that that was the spot that worked the best…it is painless but the one accidental painful zap is what worked…you can even see it in the photo a little!

So far some results on my legs, but not working on my underarms. I think it needs more time. I noticed my blonde hairs are still growing on my upper legs, but not the super dark ones, which makes sense since it can't get the blonde ones. I would be happier if it was doing more on my underarms.

I don’t doubt that it works. It definitely will take A LOT of sessions and each session can take up to 30min+ depending on how many areas you want to treat. I have medium-light skin and dark brown hair. This still hurts to use on settings 6 or 7 (the recommended setting to see results). I tried OTC numbing gel and it was still uncomfortable. I have had laser hair removal at a dermatology office and it was a much faster process. It was also painful, but they gave me a prescription numbing gel and the session was like 5 minutes. It was much more expensive, of course. The reason I didn’t continue with Nood is because of the pain. I’d rather do 5 minutes of moderate pain than 30+ minutes of mild to moderate pain (knowing I’d have to do many more sessions). If that info doesn’t matter to you, this could be a great product.

I’ve used the product for about 4 weeks on my armpits. now and I’m not seeing great results. I’ll continue to try it for the full 8 weeks just because that hair is fairly thick. It is easy to use and I’d prefer to use Nood over shaving

I've been using the Nood laser a few times a week for the past two months on my legs and although the results are not as great as I had hoped, I do see some reduction in hair growth. I get pretty bad ingrown hairs on my lower legs and the irritation has diminished a bit with the use of the Nood laser. I am going to keep up with the treatments and see how my legs look after 3 months.

Useless. I have the ideal skin and hair type (pale skin, very dark hair) and so I was really hoping it would work on my facial hair as I have PMS and it's embarrassing. The FAQ states Nood should work with those who have PMS, and though I used the highest settings, every other day (or at least every three days), for FOUR months, it did absolutely nothing. Nood recommends giving at least two months for results, so I thought four would do the trick, but no. I don't think their return policy is reasonable - if you have to wait at LEAST two months for results, then you really only have one month to return, and at that point, you're JUST (supposedly) beginning to see results, and you don't know yet if they'll be enough to justify the cost of the product. I think there should be at least a 120 day refund policy. Also, even on lower settings, at times the product would literally shock me, far beyond the slight tingle I was feeling before. I had to try different things, like not clenching my jaw when doing the jawline, and make sure I wasn't touching metal or carpeting. Very disappointed in the lack of results but more so in Noods unwillingness to refund me for a product that doesn't work, despite me having the prime skin tone/hair color combination, and using the product correctly.

So far so great! My facial hair grows sporadically and will be very thick. The Nood is simple to use, effective and painless. I highly recommend!

It’s only been a few week as and I’m already seeing major results. I was a bit hesitant at first, but I’m so glad I went for it!!

I was tired of shaving and wanted to try permanent hair removal. I looked at a lot of different options and ended up going with nood because of the price and that it was FDA approved. So far I have noticed a difference and it doesn’t hurt at all it is just warm. This is a picture of my leg after only 4 uses and it has been been 5 days since I had to shave.

Seems to be working! I just finished the fourth week, have been using 3 times a week and am noticing less hair. Still have stubble, but an excited to see what happens over the next 4 weeks.

Great design and packaging… unfortunately after habitually using as directed for 8 weeks it did not yield any results for me. It was my Wednesday night ritual and I was so excited to use this product…Used on my legs and bikini area at the highest intensity. I was really hoping for some kind of improvement but got nothing out of it.

This didn't really work for me, and I'm not sure why. I did it just as instructed, and I have fair skin and dark body hair, so it should have worked. I do feel I get fewer ingrown hairs since using it, so maybe it reduced a few follicles, but I still have to shave just as much as ever, which is what I was hoping to avoid in using it.

I honestly didn’t love the product. I used it multiple times and didn’t feel as though it got lighter and easier to shave after each use as it should. Will return because it’s expensive to see no results.
