Awful. Our classes were cancelled indefinitely with no notice. The pool we were having classes in was deemed unsuitable. We had paid for the whole term for both of our children and were given no refund at all. We chased the refund for over a year and received nothing! Do not go with turtle tots. They are scammers! This has happened to others!

I paid for the upcoming block then the heating in the pool broke and they cancelled the block. I repeatedly asked for a refund but no one has got back to my emails, Facebook messages or contact portal on their website. It’s now been nearly a year and I’ve still have not been able to make contact and receive a refund of over £100.

I signed up to Turtle Tots, my baby did one full class & unfortunately her naps didn’t work with the timings when the lessons came around. I asked for the lessons to be deferred & was refused. I asked for a refund if they couldn’t or wouldn’t deferred them & was refused. I wasn’t happy & advised I’d spent almost 300 with turtle tots. Because I didn’t agree Krystle advised I was no longer welcome. I asked by email to confirm if my baby and I are barred because I do not agree or think it is fair & she / turtle tots refuses to answer. This has been a dreadful experience

My daughter was going to turtle tots she got up to stage4. But when took to a new swimming school she’s been put back to stage one. Your raised the price from 42 pounds a month 79 pounds a month.Which I can't afford, so I had to find a new swimming school. I feel like I wasted my money. My daughter still cannot swim after a year has passed. This is Stafford Swimming School.

Signed up for turtle tums - class was cancelled at last minute more than once and dates changed which I wqs unable to attend and refused a refund. Would not recommend or use for when my baby is here.

We went to turtle tots a long time ago at Charlton pool and didn't enjoy it at all. Compared to water babies it was terrible. Not one of the two instructors knew my daughters name and didn't care to, it was so impersonal and the lessons just didn't feel fun for us at all. My daughter also was delayed in her milestones (now has a diagnosis of Rett Syndrome) and one of the instructors said she should be able to sit on the float by now and would have to sit that activity out. Naturally we didn't sign up again and went to Water Babies where we had the best experience. Our instructor straight away made an effort to get to know each child, used everyone's names and the classes were so fun as well as helpful. Turtle tots instructors could learn a thing or two from water babies in my opinion!!

I booked a class for my wee one shortly after doing so my circumstances changed and at the moment we are unable to attend swimming, this was the same day I booked and paid for the class I emailed straight away to advise we were unable to attend and asked for a full refund it took a week for Claire to get back to me she never acknowledged my refund request just said sorry you can’t attend the class. Another week passed and I noticed I received a refund however it was short £20 I messaged Claire straight away she got back to me and stated that the £20 is a cancellation fee and it is in the terms and conditions. I asked to see a copy of this, no reply i am still waiting and that was over 2 weeks ago. No where in the terms and conditions does it state there is a cancellation charge. I just wish I read some of the negative reviews before booking, I would avoid this company!

Last email I sent to turtle tots which didn't get a reply. I'm sharing so other people considering turtle tots won't go through the same experience: I have to say, I am so disappointed in the way I've been treated as a customer by turtle tots. We were so excited to join and I had such a positive experience with swimming lessons in the UK with a different company. It's been so important for me to make sure my daughter continues swimming lessons to the point that I struggle to pay the term but I do it because swimming is such a vital skill to have. Since we've been coming to turtle tots, there have been MULTIPLE issues. The pool temperature was too cold, the changing rooms are too cold, the floors are extremely slippy, not one but two classes cancelled with short notice, a lack of availability when booking a make up class, lack of options for dates to attend the next term and absolutely no consideration for my daughter to be put into the toddler intro class even though she's more capable than most of the children that are twice her age which her swim teacher even agreed and now this is the cherry on top. We are paying an extortionate amount for less than average swimming lessons, honestly I can't say my daughter has learnt much since November despite it costing €21 a lesson. I gave ample notice that my daughter was unable to attend, she had a severe case of croup and an ear infection. She's actually still not 100% well and still on anti biotics but now I have to risk her health to come along to the last session tomorrow because I can't afford to lose out on €42. There's been such a lack of empathy on your behalf and I honestly wouldn't recommend turtle tots as a last resort. I've never felt so let down. I really do hope that your future customers don't go through what I have had to so I'll be leaving reviews to share my experience.

My daughter and son were unable to complete their term at swimming due to the venue closing months ago and we still have not received a refund.

Beware. Our turtle tots franchisee closed down and ignored requests for a refund. The main company have washed their hands and suggested we claim via our credit card company even though we paid direct debit. We now have the hassle of pursuing through the courts. In our experience money paid is not safe.

Turtle Tots classes are great when there is consistency, we have been attending for nearly 2.5 years since my daughter was approx. 10 months old. In the last 12 months there has been several changes to teachers and disruptions to classes including last minute cancelled classes. Any concerns you raise with the company you are just dismissed without satisfactory outcome. In our latest term, in 4 lessons there has been at least 3 different teachers involved. The consequence of these changes is teachers not knowing what level each student has progressed to and lessons then being geared more towards beginners but yet everyone is paying the same high costs. It's such a pity as my daughter really loved the classes, had built such confidence in the water but now seems to be nearly regressing in classes. It seems Turtle Tots priority is now more about making money than the progression of its students.

From my experience the company cares only about making money and not about the experience of their clients or children. The lessons are very expensive and impersonal, would not recommend

My child (2 year old) was pushed in to the pool by the swimming teacher as fun but my child now has a fear of going swimming. He's been having nightmares and starts crying and shaking at the mention of going swimming. I emailed Alan for advice or tips on how to encourage him back to swimming but got no response. However I did recieve numerous emails and a text reminding me to pay for the next term at swimming.

Very unprofessional service. Classes cancelled over and over again with barely any notice. Different teachers every week so class content is not consistent. So called end of term photographer never available. Very unapologetic and treated like an inconvenience. Not good value for money I can’t wait for the term to end so we can go elsewhere. However with the amount of cancellations we have incurred and the large amount of time you are asked to pay for in advance it will be months before we can go elsewhere! Week after week I have a very disappointed little girl.

Our child (2 years old) was put in a class of children who were 7-8 months old and as my child was verbal compared to the other children, the swimming instructor did not like this. Her name was Sophie I believe. She would always ask my son to be the last to try anything new and my child noticed this even at a young age as he would then always say he doesn’t want to go swimming. Worst swimming group out there

You have sent me an e-mail and my child hasn't received a place on your course so I am probably not the best person to write a review. I left a message on a voicemail service about a month ago now and no-one has replied and I have put my son on the waiting list through your website. I am a member of Barrow Everlast gym and they referred me to you.
