Whenever someone talks about their bucket list now I tell them that Kakadu National Park should be close to number one. I was so fortunate to have taken the Dragonfly tour guided by Darren and Rick. Their knowledge, guidance and professionalism was second to none and I want everyone who ventures to the top end to learn and experience what we did. Great leaders, fabulous company, food and accommodation - the works. Thank you Wayoutback tours also for navigating the covid 'catastrophe' so patiently and professionally!

Even though we are both in our 70s, we had an absolute ball on our recent trip through Kakadu and Litchfield National Park with Wayoutback Australian Safaris. Our guides, Rob & Jay, were very knowledgeable and helped a very diverse group of travellers gel into a fun group. When Covid hit, they were able to take us to places not in our itinerary and were a great help to us all in arranging alternate travel arrangements to get us all home safely. We loved the campsites and the great meals prepared by Rob & Jay.

Just returned from 5 day Kakadu adventure amazing tour covering all aspects of the outback for example: indigenous history, wildlife including birds, animals and insects as well as the natural beauty of the landscapes, our tour guide Candice had a passion for the area with a wealth of knowledge and insight into all areas that we travelled to. Accommodation was excellent in the parks with individual tents provided for couples or families as required. Food was exceptional with more than enough provided at all meal times and transportation was fit for purpose being airconditioned and comfortable. Pace of the tour was spot on with enough time provided at all sites. My only gripe was that it ended 😊

Very happy with the service provided. Specially with the guide Phill. He's knowledge & defecation shows how much he loves this job and he loves sharing with others. We rated 5 Bloody Good Rippers out of 5. EXCELLENT!!!

I was lucky enough to go on the Darwin to Broome safaris. It was a wonderful adventure with so many wonderful buck list moments. My Guides Leigh and Emily were fantastic and really made my first solo trip such a pleasure. Can’t wait till next year to go on another Wayoutback safari. Highly recommend this part of Australia everyday day was different and more amazing. I would never have gotten the opportunity to see the Kimberley, and the Bungle Bungles, without such great guides and being driven along the Gibb River Road, something I wouldn’t attempt on my own. Loved sleeping under the stars and swimming with freshies. Thanks again Leigh and Emily, and thanks for all my great photos

A truly fab Wayoutback adventure with Adam and Rhett. The itinerary was extremely well thought through - every day and around every corner a fantastic site to enjoy. Both guides are extremely knowledgeable and sensitive to the environment through which we travelled and were careful, attentive drivers at all times. As well, we enjoyed a healthy, varied menu throughout the 10 days. Adam and Rhett were really good fun and always mindful of the needs of all travellers.

Incredibly bad only saved by the dedication of the driver guide. As another passenger referred to you lot correctly..."the bottom of the food chain"!~ I thought of lodging a formal compliant with the tourist authority as your operations do not pas health and safety requirements. Your vehicle old and in poor condition and obviously lacking in proper maintenance. The lunch poor. A thawed supermarket cheap bit of hamburger meat a couple of tomatoes and a lettuce and a bit of cheese to do over 15 people.

I had a very fun time! Nice people, cool guide and awesome memories.. The guide was well-informed and we got safety information as well as stories about the cultural background. We could ask questions and had good talks. The programm was well planned, travelling was comfortable and the food was good. We saw awesome landscapes, took gorgeous photos and had a great time. The trips are much more worth than the price you pay!

This was one of our favorite experiences during our time in Australia. Phill was fantastic as our guide. We enjoyed his stories as we wandered around the bush. He also created a great atmosphere of camaraderie within the group and introduced us to some classic Aussie tunes. He helped us get some great views of Uluru at sunset and sunrise, making sure we were the first group in position.

My husband and I took the 3 day/2 night trip to Uluru and Kings Canyon in October. There were about 20 in the group. David was our guide and is a true Outback dude who loves what he does. This trip was flexible for pickups at hotels in Alice Springs or the Ayers Rock Airport, as well as having the option to sleep in a tent or in a swag on the ground. This is an interactive trip, so be prepared to participate in meal preparation and collecting firewood. One complaint we have is that David did not seem to be well prepared with a first aid kit. When a couple of people got scraped shins from collecting wood, he only had a little first aid cream. The hikes are not easy. David prepared us by helping us plan the amount of water we needed and stopping for us to purchase fly nets. For those of us with less stamina, David watched out for us and gave us optional routes. We enjoyed this experience very much. I feel like we got a good taste of the Outback, saw the important sites and had a good variety of activities. We highly recommend WayOutBack.

Dear Julie, Thank you for sharing your fantastic review, your recommendation is the highest compliment we can hope for. I'm pleased to hear that you were so well looked after by David, one thing our guides do not lack is character and it's always great to see that shining through. I appreciate your comments regarding the first aid kit; this should certainly not be the case as we supply a large kit on board the vehicle and guides carry a smaller kit on excursions however I will ensure this is reviewed. Thank you again for sharing your review. Kind regards, Stacey Guest Feedback

3Day-Litchfield and Kakadu in August 2019! Awesome adventure! Nice Guide, Darrel! Beautiful views, lot of different birds, buffalo's, salties and interesting Aboriginal culture! But you need to accept the sometimes really long and thoughtful car rally between the spots. PS: don't forget your snorkeling equipment to explore the Cristal clear Billabongs with its perches, turtles, barras, rainbow fish,...

Thank you for sharing your feedback, it sounds like you really got the full Top End experience and were lucky enough to see some of our spectacular wildlife. Great tip about the snorkel, it's amazing what you can see swimming around in the clear pools. Thank you again Stacey Guest Feedback

Travelled with Wayoutback on two separate tours during our recent holiday to Australia. Began with Dragonfly Dreaming where we visited Litchfield and Kakadu National Parks, beautiful pools for swimming and excellent wildlife sightings, especially on the Yellowwater cruise. Learned a huge amount about aboriginal culture, history and ways of life from our guide, Darren, really opened our eyes and very interesting. Hike to Jim Jim Falls was quite challenging in the heat but the plunge pool was worth it. Again Darren ensured we always had plenty of cold water available. Second tour in the Red Centre, Goanna Dreaming. HIghlight was, of course, Uluru, awestruck by its scale and enjoyed our informative session with an aboriginal guide. We happened to be there on the last day people were allowed to climb the rock and feel very glad that this sacred place is finally being respected by all. The group was very well looked after by our guide Alex who took particular care during both the walks, being mindful of the fitness and needs of all the group members. During both tours the standard of food was good, accommodation in tents was basic, but clean and adequate. With everyone helping, the chores were completed quickly and we could make the most of our time for sightseeing and activities. Be aware there are lots of early starts, several long drives and a packed itinerary so it can be tiring but so much to see. We had "wow" moments every day. Two fantastic experiences which took us to places we would have found difficult to travel to on our own.

Dear Lesley, It's such a pleasure to read about your fantastic touring experience in the Top End and the Red Centre. There is certainly a lot to see on our 3 day itineraries but you summed it up perfectly when you said there are "wow" moments everyday! Thank you again for sharing your feedback, We always enjoy hearing about our passengers experiences on tour and I know Darren and Alex will appreciate you taking the time to recognise their efforts. Sarah was a very good tour guide in all belongings. We allways felt very save and also she prepared delicious Food. The Walking tours have been super. I have one advice for the following tours. It would be much easyer to pick up the participants in their Hotel and not only in the Pioneer Hotel. This was the poor part of the tour that it was not possible to pick us up in the Desert Garden Hotel. All the Hotels in Ayers Rock are very Close together.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Sarah is a fantastic guide and I know she'll appreciate you taking the time to share your comments. I appreciate your comments regarding our pick up locations; We are required to limit the number of pick ups we offer in order to maintain the afternoons itinerary which is quite tight following the drive from Alice Springs. We recommend utilising the Yulara Resort Shuttle Service as a hassle free method of reaching the Outback Pioneer. Thank you again for sharing and we hope you have enjoyed the remainder of your travels. Stacey Guest Feedback

This was an absolutely amazing experience! I did the 7 day trip from Alice Springs around uluru and up to Darwin (Rock to Top). It was one of the best things I did in Australia. The company organizes everything for you. The uluru portion consisted of alot of hikes, but if someone didnt feel like going the guide would figure out a place for them to wait or other shorter hikes for them to do. The darwin portion consisted of alot of sightseeing, and swimming (as it was hot). the guides were always very helpful, with explaining cultural and environmental facts, and providing with the best experiences possible. For example, on the way up to Darwin we stopped at a cultural centre (thats not usually open), and got to view various facts about the area and artwork done locally, and we got to hold a baby kangaroo. Overall, we got to see some amazing places that people know about (the big red rock Uluru) and some little places many people dont know about but should. I would highly recommend this company, as they are organized, and have super amazing guides.

What a fantastic review!! I believe the flexibility and passion of our guides is one of our most valuable assets and I'm so pleased that you experienced that on your tour. Your recommendation is very much appreciated and I bet you'll have the memory of that tiny Kangaroo for years to come Thank you again Stacey Guest Feedback
