We really enjoyed our 4WD Red Centre excursion from Alice Springs. Our tour leader was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, capable and personable. The camping accommodation and facilities were comfortable, well organised and exceeded our expectations. As a pair of active 60+ year olds we found the walks and other activities to be well within our capabilities; we particularly enjoyed engaging with the younger guests. Great trip and good value for money.

My husband and I went on the 4 day Goanna Tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our Tour Guide Alicia was fantastic. She was organised, knowledgeable and made everyone feel special and part of the group. We were a multicultural group with a wide variety of ages. After 4 days it was kind of sad to part the tour as we felt we had made some good friendships. I would have no problem recommending Wayoutback Australian Safaris.

As an older solo traveller, I found this experience to be very rewarding and provided me with the confidence to do these kinds of trips in the future. The food was good, my tent comfortable and our driver/guide Guy looked after us really well. I especially liked the isolation of the 2nd night's camp at Kings Canyon, overall a great experience.

I had an amazing hike over the Larapinta trail with a great group & the 2 best tour guides you could wish for - they could guide, educate on local environment and culture, keep us safe and cook the best meals ever!

I’m not a tour person, but due to the vast kilometres in the outback and travelling alone I decided on your package. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Couldn’t fault a thing only that I didn’t take my drivers license or passport as ID and consequently couldn’t buy any liquor anywhere. ( Perhaps you should include this somewhere in your paperwork as us city folk don’t realise this behaviour exists in Oz and it came as quite a shock on arrival in Alice Springs!!!) Otherwise couldn’t fault the tour content in ANY way or the Tour Leader who was truely dedicated to our group and was passionate about the Red Centre. Food was adequate, perhaps a written menu so you knew what was coming up for the evening meal would be good and didn’t eat the same thing for lunch earlier in the day at a Road House. The cocktail party at Uluru was a highlight Could possibly include one more. Thoroughly enjoyed everything including Indigenous content ( not too much just enough and interesting characters) I’d recommend you guys and an informative tour from start to finish. Also everything ran to time, pick ups , drop offs etc Well done guys!!!!

Beside outback Aust being a fabulous destination, I must say Phil was the best part of our tour. He is an excellent guide. I’ve travel the world had many tour guides and I’d rank him at the top. Kind, generous, patient, extremely informative, safe, talented, funny and charming. He has a keen interest in the outback and it’s native people. Phil introduced us to several First Australians who graciously shared their knowledge and fascinating experiences within their culture and also the relationship they share with the environment they live “with” and take care of. I really enjoyed this tour and now have a new fascination for our “sunburnt” country and it’s indigenous people. Thanks again Phil... good job!

We went to Arnhem Land which was spectacular. Our guide was very hard working and informative. We met some other guides along the journey and I was impressed by their knowledge and love of the country. I also learned some new meals for the barbecue. I have recommended this trip to many people on my return, it certainly will not be my last. What a beautiful country.

I chose Wayoutback as my husband and I wanted a more personalised, intimate tour experience. We did the Litchfield tour and were VERY HAPPY. Our guide was so knowledgeable about local culture. He had that wonderful Australian sense of humour, practical mindset and was passionate about the top end. We’ll be coming back (in the wet season next time) and choosing Wayoutback again. Thanks for the great memories.

My husband, adult sons, and I joined Wayoutback Australian Safaris for the 4 night trip from Darwin through Kakadu National Park. It was fabulous. Our guide Jack was knowledgeable and informative/ efficient and multi skilled. The food was plentiful, the accommodation adequate. Take as little stuff as you can & pack something warm for the cool nights. I highly recommend this trip!

We did a three day Uluru tour. Our guide was really likable and gave interesting information about the places we visited, the food was better than we expected and sleeping in a swag watching the night sky was a unique experience. Would definitely do this tour again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the five day Kakadu tour with a great group of travellers who all pitched in and made the most of our daily events. The whole trip was excellent because of our truly magnificent guide, Jack. He was indefatigable, always pleasant and fun with a big smile even after driving for hours, and full of interesting information. What a wonderful addition to your company and he deserves any bonus available to your employees. The tented camps were clean and beds comfortable. We are vegetarian and were quite pleased with the variety of meals included for us - Jack even made a special effort to get us avocado for the Mexican style meal. One suggestion is do get some better tea and coffee! Our only disappointment was not being able to kayak on the Katherine Gorge which was advertised but unavailable. A very busy trip with hikes, culture, and wild life and well worth it. The billabong boat trip, hikes to waterholes, and special places of aboriginal stories and art were highlights. Thank you, Jack, for making our Top End adventure a great one.

Last August I took a 3-day tour with Wayoutback in the Uluru area with my wife. Globally it was a wonderful experience, excellent organization and fantastic guide. Things did not start very well due to the breakdown of the truck at the meeting point of Ayers Rock Resort but the help of the other groups' transport means made the inconveniences and the delays minimal. Everything else was perfect, from the experience in Uluru to hiking in the Olgas and Kings Canyon. Particularly exciting is the overnight stay in the second camp, very spartan, but literally lost in the void, with the dingos that glimpsed at the edge of the bonfire and the southern sky visible in all its beauty.

Had a fantastic trip with Darren and Mark. Both exceptional people. Got to see and do everything that was advertised. We would highly recommend the 5 night trip from Darwin. Got to meet some amazing people too. All in all a fabulous trip. The highlight was seeing a massive crocodile on the Yellow River. Hopefully you get to experience the friendlyness of these two guys who do and amazing job with a smile and plenty of laughs. Well done boys.
