“Excellent service, delivered next day. Nice choice of products and they were appreciated by my daughter and family. Your advertising I found a little misleading. You are not in fact located in the ‘Local’ area where the products are sourced from!!! Tricky as I thought I was supporting a Nelson based business!!!”

Thank you so much for your feedback, and I'm delighted that your daughter and family enjoyed the gift box! It's wonderful to hear the products were appreciated and that the delivery was prompt. I completely understand your point about our location, and I'd like to clarify how we operate. While our warehouse is based in the lower North Island (as transparently mentioned on our shipping policy, contact page, and during checkout), our mission is specifically to spotlight and support small artisan producers from across all of New Zealand, including the wonderful makers in Nelson. When you purchased a Nelson gift box, every Nelson-based product included directly supported those local producers financially. We've now returned almost $3 million to small businesses across New Zealand since we started, with those funds going directly to the regions where the products are made. Without this nationwide platform, many of these smaller producers wouldn't have the same opportunity to reach customers beyond their immediate area. We're essentially a matchmaker, connecting customers like yourself with exceptional local products from specific regions that might otherwise remain undiscovered. Your purchase genuinely did support Nelson businesses, just through our curated platform rather than a physical Nelson shop. Thank you again for supporting New Zealand's local producers through your purchase. We truly appreciate your business and your feedback!

“Our father (in law) is finding the box tasty however his first pick of chilli and cheese crackers turned out to be an almost his last.Found it so overpowering he had breathing irregularities.”

“It is great to be able to order online from so far away. We are in the UK and one of our daughters is about to leave for Wellington. We can't give her Christmas gifts before she goes because that would just give her more packing. Thanks to you we are able to surprise her when she arrives with a selection of local food.”

“Good little service you have going, unfortunately the package was stolen as it was delivered to wrong address so my friend couldn't tell me if he enjoyed it, im sure he would have. He is in contact with nzpost to get the parcel back :(”

Kia ora Ketiesha, Thanks so much for your feedback. Being sustainable with our packaging is very important to us, and we're continuing to reduce waste as much as possible. All our packaging is recyclable and/or reusable, including the wooden boxes as part of our return scheme, which allows recipients to send them back to us for reuse. We also use custom-made courier boxes to minimise waste and reduce transport emissions, and the wood wool used to protect products is fully compostable. Currently, we're working on removing the kraft paper used to protect the gift boxes during transport as a next step in our sustainability journey. We really appreciate your time to write a review.
