“My central heating was partly working with the upstairs of my house fully working and downstairs all but 2 were not working. The ones that were working downstairs were not providing maximum heat however it was still somewhat warm. I booked an engineer from YourRepair and the service was very quick and the call-out turnaround was within 24 hours.
After the engineer arrived, he had done his checks and diagnosed the problem down to sludge. Unfortunately after he has left, none of the radiators downstairs are working. From having little heat on 2 radiators I have nothing on the 4 other radiators downstairs and this is unbearable in these current weather conditions.
I then phoned the customer service and informed them of this all where I have been told that the problem is out of their scope and cannot be repaired unless done privately. I’ve explained that I would like another inspection by an engineer as before the call out, my heaters were somewhat working and since he’s left, I have nothing. The advisor I spoke to on the phone was not helpful at all nor understanding of my situation. She again said that the radiators not working was down to the sludge, completely disregarding the fact that prior to the engineers arrival, they were working, even with the so called sludge problem!
I am not at all happy with this service and preferrred to now cancel my policy. I was told however that although I am well within the cancellation timeframe, as I have used their services, I am no longer able to cancel. This is absolutely ridiculous. I’m in a worse situation than I was initially and paying for something that will never be able to help!”
