Everything was as described, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The timing was a bit rushed, maybe better to visit fewer sites and allow people a little extra time in each place.

We enjoyed our trip to Karanahake. We were lucky that we were able to meet up with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter from Waihi beach for lunch. We loved finding out the history at the Waikino Battery and Museum. We see that morning tea was included but weren’t worried that we didn’t stop for that but would have loved a cuppa on the way home. Thanks for the great day!

I have only done a couple of tours with Zealandia and have found them very accommodatinga and very helpful . The pickups from home and drop off back home after each tour is good as well. I look forward to doing the occasional daytime tours with Zealandia . Thank you.

This was my first outing with Zealander Tours and it certainly won't be my last. It was a small group, well organised and all needs of older people were considered, frequent comfort stops and no hurrying at any stage. I liked the group , nobody put on any airs and everyone was friendly. I am looking forward to another trip with Zealandier Tours, and have already recommended it to my friends.

An amazing tour to hobbiton! Such an adventure & everything we wanted. The guide knew his stuff and was very friendly and we enjoyed the day. You were also sold out however put on an extra bus and we were with people from another ship which worked fine. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was we put my mum down as vegetarian and she was given meat gelatine in her lunch pack. Luckily she knows not to eat it however if it had been an allergy issue it could have been more serious. Also my allergies kicked in & was in need for some medication so would be helpful if the drivers carried some basic allergy relief/pain killers or know of a pharmacy to quickly pop in to. Thank you for a great day

In Feb 2020 I went on a tour from Tauranga to Rotorua to see the geysers and mudpots, Maori show and Art School. On the way we stopped at waterfalls and then a kiwi farm. There was time at Rotorua to look around independently, in addition to the group tour. Met lovely people from Europe on our small minibus. The only negative side was the driver said nothing- no commentary, but he got us back to our ship on time. I would highly recommend taking this tour instead of a massive ship tour.

Seems an age ago BUT our day out tour with Sharron to assorted sites around Rotorou and Tanguay went well. Her distinct commentary not only involved the notional tourist information but brought in her person knowledge of the ongoing economic and social events happening in 'present situations ' re Virus issues occurring at that time in your country . Sharron had a good manner and commendable style. I am only sorry at the end of the visit she did 'nt present us all with a jar of her homemade Kiwi fruit jam !

We did a tour of Rotorua through Zealander Tours as the original booking with the cruise liner was cancelled. The tour was okay; the best part was the cultural centre. I wish there were more focus on Kiwi farming than having a Kiwi at a park and calling that a 'Kiwi experience'. I also found the tour guide unprofessional in expressing her political views and odd commentary. I wouldn't recommend this tour, but I would recommend this itinerary

We were not able to take the tour we had planned due to our cruise being cancelled due to CV19. Zealander Tours was very good about refunding our money and we will tour with them when next we visit the wonderful country of New Zealand.

Initial tour was cancelled due to shortage of numbers. Advised to join a different tour & the day was very rushed. Taken to a place that wasn’t open to visitors due to maintenance (known to tour), which only gave the opportunity to take some photos in front of the building ? This impacted on the next stop where extra time to explore could have happened. Lunch option was horrible. Taking us to a local shopping centre with very limited selection. Again this was for ease because of time restraints.

The small group tour was 29 people which was too large for our guide to manage. The weather did not cooperate and in spite of our guide’s attempt to reorganize the tour, it was a disappointing experience for us. In Te Puia we were scheduled to have a guide take us through the various sites but they were understaffed and we ended up with a guide for only some areas. We did see the geysers and stopped at the side of the road to see a kiwi orchard which was interesting but underwhelming. The tour was overpriced for the experience we received.

We booked this tour as a last-minute replacement of a similar tour that was canceled. This tour was also canceled due to weather and not being able to access the port, we were told we would receive a full refund, however, over a week later we are still waiting.

Booked & paid for a trip to Hobbiton. Took a week to get back to me to say I could go but a longer journey through sulphur springs, As I'm allergic to sulphur I asked again for my original trip, basically said only 2nd trip was available. I asked for a refund after another 2 weeks received refund, less than I paid. Not happy

Hi Jenny, I am really sorry to read that you were unhappy with our services - I have looked into this for you today and yes we did book out simultaneoulsly overnight when you placed your booking for Hobbiton Movie Set. - sadly bookings can be made simultaneously overnight . Bookings are always heavy from the Ovation of the Seas as it has such a large capacity of passengers. I have just checked on your refund and I find you were refunded in FULL for this excursion so am not sure why you feel you received less. You paid $165.00 NZ and we refunded the exact same amount back to your credit card. You also booked a Dunedin shore excursion with us which you did partake of and this tour was more expensive than the Hobbiton one so maybe you are confused about which excursion cost how much. But I can reassure you did receive refund in full. Thankyou for taking the time to post this message and I sincerely hope you enjoyed your Dunedin excursion. Jan Davies Owner

Disappointed with waiting over an hour for the tour to leave because of late passengers. So many stops on winding road to Christchurch that we only got one hour free in Christchurch before we had to leave. Did not get the lunch break that was part of itinerary. All day trip for only one hour in the Botanical Gardens. No time to walk to the damaged church at center of city, just cruised by it in the van.

On April 5, 2024, I went online and requested a tour in Tauranga in October of this year, 2024. I received an email stating that the order was pending and I would receive a reply within 48 hours. On April 10, I sent a follow up email asking about the status of my request as I had not received a reply. Finally on April 16, I sent an email to cancel the tour request. Still no reply. Then, awhile after, I received an email from Zealandier to make my payment for the tour! If payment wasn't made within 48 hours (I think that was the timeframe), the tour request would be canceled. Needless to say I didn't make the payment. No response or customer service from this tour operator. I will not use them again.
