I ordered the City Rider last Wednesday and it came in yesterday (5 days). I spent a while looking for a scooter to take for my ~1 mile commute to work on pretty flat ground. I am 6'5" and weigh about 205lbs and I wanted a scooter below the $500 mark. When I saw this scooter pop up in an article I read I decided to make the purchase given fluidfreeride's reputation. Now, about the scooter. The positives: The scooter itself is really sleek and cool looking. The front and tail lights are bright and help to see at night. The tires provide way better than expected suspension and shock absorption and it's a giant plus they are non-air filled. I was able to get to 26 km/hr on my flat road which felt great and although it did struggle uphill it was no problem at all to give the scooter a little push while going up the hill. Easy to maneuver and braking is great (a little harsh at first but you get used to it) Now, some of the negatives: The battery fluctuates a lot while I was riding. It showed 3 bars when I first took it out of the box and went down to 1 bar while I was riding it and when I finished my ride it was back up to 3 bars, so I was confused at this. The automatic cruise control was a little annoying to deal with but I can see myself getting used to it. The scooter definitely did struggle up hills but as I stated before with a little kick it's definitely manageable. It would also be a nice touch if there was a built in locking feature to lock the scooter up if need be but that's just if I'm being picky. Overall: For the price, this is probably the best scooter you can get. It looks great and rides great. Some small technical issues so far but nothing too major. I definitely recommend this scooter and am excited to get more use out of it!
