Organic Hair Dye Variant 1 / Caramel Shadow 100g Reviews

I have used this product twice and I’m really happy with it. Good grey coverage and I love the fact that’s it’s chemical free for my scalp. I tried the honey shadow first, and it gave the greys a nice golden colour, but I found this one (walnut shadow) to be a better match for my brown hair. Nice clear instruction booklet included too.

I’m absolutely in love with the Desert Shadow Organic Hair Dye in Chocolate Shadow . I chose it because I wanted something natural and chemical-free, and I was honestly surprised at how well it worked. The color turned out beautiful, a rich chocolate brown that looks so flattering, with amazing shine, and my hair feels softer and more nourished. The best part is that it covered my greys really well, something I never got from other natural dyes. Yes, the process takes some patience, but it was totally worth it. I feel like I didn’t just change my look, I also gave my hair a deep care treatment. Highly recommended!

I have medium brown hair and wanted a warm golden auburn glow which is exactly what I got using this product - I will purchase again as it’s my perfect colour! I didn’t find the application to tricky as it takes me about 2hours, I followed the straight forward guide and watched a YouTube video, the smell isn’t great but its natural and better than the smell of chemicals in my opinion! After washing out the henna I used a hair oil to seal the colour in and add shine and I find that works well!

Fantastic product, I have short hair so I divide each box into three lots. I need to apply approximately every four weeks but I don't mind, not even the four hours it takes to "set" because it works! I'm 64, don't want to be grey yet and am highly allergic to the regular hair dye - even from the health store. Sometimes in the sunlight it apparently looks a bit purple ???? but I just spray a bit of L'Oréal brown instant hair colour, that fixes it! Love love love this product. Even got used to the smell...

I started using Desert Shadow 2 years ago when I was a bit frustrated with paying $$$ at the hairdresser for my hair. At the moment I use it quarterly - mostly to refresh/revamp the colour and fix my roots. In the meantime the colour remains beautiful in-between colouring. I really like that I am using a safe product on my hair plus it goes on easily and smells great.

I love this hair dye. I have medium brown hair and this makes my hair a lovely golden red/burnt kinds of colour in the sun. I would say that it shows up a bit less in electric light though. I have tried to dye my hair auburn at both salons and with box dye and none have ever worked. This product has finally made my hair the colour I wanted. It is time consuming, so get a good shower cap and put on your fav tv show while you wait for it to be completed. Even though Henna is used for skin, I find that this doesn't overly stain the skin at the edges of my hair, but do still be careful. I really think that my hair is softer and stronger after this as well. Somehow it seems to make my hair actually feel better. Highly recommend it.

I did not like this. The smell is horrendous. The box says two shades off black but I left it on for two hours and my hair is a dark dull browny colour now. It must be hard to get a rich warm colour with an eco product. I love that it is eco friendly but it doesn’t do my hair any justice.
