“For some reason, the finches and sparrows seem to prefer the "house-shaped" feeder. Maybe it's the posts that they have to stand on. Larger birds are even more particular.”
“The overall quality of this feeder has declined over the years. This is my third one and probably my last. The cap for the seed hopper is too tight i.e. too difficult to get on and off. I am using the cap from my previous feeder. I was told I’d be getting a new one but nothing as yet.
Update - have just been informed that a new cap is on its way. Hopefully it’s a better fit.”
“After having problems with one of our feeders, Bird's Choice provided excellent customer service to resolve the issue. In a time period where it's tough to get a response from a real person - or at all! - I'm so happy that the Bird's Choice team stands by their products and cares about their customers - and their birds! Thank you!”

Hi Kristine,
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad to hear the installation was easy and that you're seeing more birds at your feeder. It's great to know the squirrel-proof design is working as intended.
We appreciate your support and hope you continue enjoying your backyard birdwatching!

“3rd times a charm. After purchasing 3 other bird feeders our squirrels just laughed at the thought of number 4, but so far this feeder has done the trick! Our squirrels are left to pick up the droppings of the birds and they are singing happily every day! Great product. We are yet to test against the rare but possible bear visit. We’ll let you know”
Hi Kim,
Thank you for the fantastic review!
We're thrilled to hear that the fourth feeder was the winner and that it's finally keeping the squirrels at bay! It sounds like your birds are enjoying it, and we're glad it's giving them a place to feed in peace.
We had to smile at your comment about the bear test, we're hoping it never has to take that challenge! But if it does, we'd certainly be interested to hear the results.
Thank you for choosing our feeder and for sharing your experience. Happy birdwatching!
Kind Regards,
Birds Choice Team
“The seed container has a short indentation in the bottom where it’s supposed to be pushed into the pole. We used tape to secure it. Birds love having seed without being scared off by hungry squirrels.”
“I bought one of these three years ago for my front yard, still works great. Tried multiple different feeders in the back yard and either the squirrels got to it or the birds didn't like it. Now I have two of them. The cat is entertained all day. Love this product!”
Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're delighted to hear that your first feeder is still going strong after three years and that it performed so well you decided to add a second one. It's great to know the birds enjoy it, the squirrels are kept at bay, and even your cat is getting some entertainment from all the activity!
We truly appreciate your continued support and are grateful that our feeders have become a part of your backyard birdwatching experience. Happy birding!
Best regards,
Birds Choice Team
“The poles for the feeder should be redesigned so they snap together. This would improve their stability. They should also connect to the feeder itself. In other words, the feeder could be screwed onto or otherwise securely connected to the pole. I live on a deer trail and the deer were repeatedly knocking the feeder off the pole and onto the ground to get at the seed. The feeder only sits on top of the pole and deer can easily knock it off.”
