These shades do not pull down to the window seal very well. They pop up. Raising them takes a while. They want to roll up.

I'm sorry that you are having problems with your cordless shades. The cordless cellular shades are designed to be self-correcting. To reset your cordless shades: Lower the shade down to its full height. Firmly hold the bottomrail with both hands and pull it towards you (away from the back of the window at an angle). Quickly and firmly pull down (popping) on the bottomrail 3 or 4 times. Raise and lower the shade, repeat as necessary. These steps should reset the cordless motors in the headrail so that the shade will raise and lower properly. If these steps do not work, please let us know and we will remake or repair the shades as needed. I will contact you directly to make sure this gets resolved.

I have a large, all window room that is wonderful for its sunlight, but also a problem to watch TV on sunny days. Purchased these black-out shades and they do the trick. My second purchase from Blindster so I had a very easy installation. They block the sun, easy up and down. Only disappointment is that they do not stay all the way down. They rise up 2-3 inches at the bottom even though I have tried pulling them below the sill. They may come down more if left weighted but I cannot do that considering the windows need to be left open for plan sunlight. I will order longer than the window next time.
