“Ordering: I found the instructions for measuring windows on the website very clear and helpful. Since I have tilt-in windows I chose to do an outside L mount and added 3 inches to the width and 1.5 inches to my height to sit on the windowsill. After I placed my order, customer service called me the next business day. "I see you've never ordered with us before so I wanted to ask a couple of questions." I really appreciated the quick check on my measurements and what I wanted. After the call, they put the order in production. They arrived in three separate shipments within 3 weeks from order date. The 3 shutter panels were assembled and packaged together. And the frame pieces and parts came in another box for assembly. Assembly: overall, assembly was extremely easy, but this is the only place I considered knocking it down to 4 stars. At the time of my order, the instructions for construction and mounting posted to the website were incorrect, so the 3" Robertson drill bits were *not* included with my shipment. I could have had these up on the day they arrived but I had to track down the proper bits. I will say again that customer service was extremely helpful. They recommended purchasing the 2" bit plus an extender if the 3" wasn't available and they also told me they would reimburse the cost of the bit purchase. The frame assembly was extremely easy. The instructions said to put the door in to check squareness after the first two screws were in place. Instructions don't say to remove the door before putting the rest of the screws in but I think it's very important to do so. The door is very heavy and it creates a lot of rotation on the frame to swing it open. I recommend checking door fit after frame install then removing door to finish the screws. My shutters are beautiful and I am so happy with the purchase. I will probably order another set for two small windows in the living room.”
