“The chair is alright. There is an initial smell to the chair that is akin to the smell you find with memory foam. I just left the chair near a window where the sun comes through for about a week. The seat back feels a little too straight. The seat cushion itself is thick and comfortable.”
“Don't expect to receive a chair by the estimated time given. I ordered a chair back in early January only to have the delivery date pushed 3 weeks and then a week before my delivery date they pushed it another 4 weeks.
Nowhere on the site does it mention the chair being backordered or delays and still estimates a 20-day shipping period, not 70+.”
“Great chair, liked it as soon as I assembled it (which was easy to do). Would have liked a cloth back however. I put a tee-shirt over the back in an attempt to keep cold air from reaching my back. I suspect I will like the mesh in the summer months. This chair was recommended after I was not satisfied with a much more expensive chair. Your service in returning the 1st chair & receiving the Akir was excellent.”

“I found chair extremely comfortable - especially the seat cushion, which has just the right thickness and firmness. The chair's only flaw is that the recline tilt tension is too strong, even at its lowest setting. I solved this by attaching a bungee cord from the cross bar in the upper back to one of the base legs. This made the tension just right and did not affect the chairs rolling ability. Now the chair is more or less perfect.”
“This is a good chair. It has all the features I need at a much better price than the better known alternatives. The arms are sufficiently adjustable, the synchro-tilt allows me to lean back naturally, and the contact surfaces provide enough cushioning for those long computing sessions.
My only complaint is that it sits a little high for my height, which is average for a US male. This is improved with the shorter cylinder option, which BTOD helped me figure out and fix.
My experience with this chair and with BTOD has been great, and I will definitely remember them next time I'm in the market for a computer chair.”
“I'm really happy with the chair. I'm 6'1" and I went with the tall option. It's comfortable but probably not necessary. Assembly was easy enough, but I had to get out a few wrenches and really tighten the bolts to stop some creaking and squeaking. I also opted for the drop-away arm rests and I highly recommend them. Otherwise, the chair has more than enough adjustments and is super comfortable. I would call the padding adequate but not excessive.”
