This chair is everything they promised! I work 10-12 hours a day and have always had leg issues, but not with this chair. I love it! It's worth the price.

I spent a while trying to find my wife an acceptable office chair. I'd been thinking of getting one from our local office supply store, but they don't have a way to try out chairs and there aren't really reviews online for the brands they carried. So, online I went (this next session is more of a review of BTOD's offerings/content). I ended up looking at BTOD's "12 Best Office Chairs of 2019" list and was well on my way to getting her an Aeron (comfort and warranty, but expensive) or the Truly (so many adjustments, starting price not as high). What drove me to the Akir was their video comparing the Aeron to the Akir and that the Truly had that plastic back that didn't seem to review too well (I didn't think my wife would like it). I mention these in hopes that someone at BTOD sees this review and passes it onto their content creation team: you did a great job and you got a sale out of me. The chair itself: I purchased the mesh headrest and the hard floor casters options. Assembly was very easy; came with the Allen wrench needed to put it all together. I didn't understand that I would also get the regular casters as well as the hard floor casters, so that was a nice find. I do wish the headrest adjustment was less rigid, but once its set for the intended person, it won't matter. I'd almost say the arms have too many optional positions, but I wanted her to be able to set them however she wanted. Her desk sits lower than mine and earlier searches for chairs that did provide the arm height showed that most would not work for her. The Akir, however, does. The comfort when sitting back was amazing; I wish I'd bought one for myself, but I'd spent an equivalent amount of money a couple years ago on a work bench task stool that I'll use until it dies. She's been using it for just under a week or so now and has had nothing but praise for it. It was the right level of quality at the price I was willing to pay.

Number one on my list is comfort and this has it. Seat cushion is very comfortable and with all the adjustments you can make, can't find anything more comfortable without spending over $1,000. Quality is great for the price I paid. Highly recommend.

Btod staff members review office chairs, sit-to-stand adjustable desks, and other office furniture on their YouTube channel. I watched a bunch of their videos and came up with the Akir as the best fit for my needs and finances. I added the chrome base and hard-surface wheel upgrades. Maybe price was $450.00 total? The chair was shipped free and came within a week. It wasn't complicated to put together, but it wasn't super quick either. With effort, I got it done perfectly, and I'm very proud of the result! We're supplied with very expensive Aeron chairs at my workplace. The Akir is just about as adjustable, even though its appearance is less high-tech and more traditional. The Aeron's mesh seat has a metal bar around it, which can be uncomfortable at times, but no such issues with the Akir, with a comfy and supportive seat cushion. Do I wish I got a chair that costs twice as much, so people would ooh and ahh when they saw it? Part of me does, I can't lie. Do I wish I bought a $250.00 to 300.00 beater instead? Oh heck no!
