“I purchased a VertDesk about a month ago. The installation looks harder than it is; as long as you have sufficient space to set it up and a decent drill, everything was pretty straightforward.
The desk itself is sturdy enough for my use, and I haven't noticed any noticeable shaking due to typing or leaning on it. I have two monitors and a desk lamp.
I have not used the app but I raise and lower the desk several times each week. In terms of noise, the mechanism sounds a little "grindy" as it' turning the bar, but it doesn't _seem_ to be a malfunction, and it's not loud.
Overall I am happy with my purchase, as long as the motor holds up!”
“Am very happy with my purchase, and would purchase again. I called before purchasing for some questions and was met with a very helpful person who ended up being the CEO. Really great support. The desk is solid, even on carpet. Works like a charm. Had it for about 3 weeks now.
However, I have noticed one little thing - the table-top doesn't play well with my computer mouse. Not sure what it is, but the mouse skips a lot when directly on the surface. It's a Logitech Performance MX, which has a dark-field laser that's supposed to work even on glass. I tried with a cheap corded mouse, and the same thing. I need to use a mouse pad, which is somewhat unfortunate since I prefer to not use them. Like I said, this might be a really small issue for you. Still, I think this is the best desk you can get for the money.”
“I'm very happy with my new desk. I decided on the VertDesk after months of researching different sit/stand options"”including Uplift, Fully by Jarvis, VariDesk, and the IKEA Idasen. Ultimately, VertDesk turned out to be (in my opinion) the best value for the price with the highest quality. I am of average height (5'5"), so the lowest desk height work perfectly for me, and I don't need a keyboard try for my arms to be in the right ergonomic position while typing. I also don't need to raise it all the way to get the right standing height. The desk doesn't wobble when extended up, which was a complaint for most of the other desks I considered. Assembly took some effort, but was definitely easier than IKEA furniture, and my husband and I were able to complete it together without killing each other (the ultimate test!). I think one could assemble it alone, but might need some help to flip it upright after assembling as the desk is quite heavy. I was unsure about the wood laminate desktop as I definitely prefer hardwood, but it feels solid and looks very attractive (I got the restoration maple finish). All in all, a great desk. I give it 4 stars only because the up/down controls are a little glitchy. Sometimes it stops before it reaches the height I want it at and starts reversing direction. But other than that it works well.”
“Bought this desk to put in a mobile office in a motorhome. Love it. Super strong and looks like it will withstand the rigors of being in a motorhome bouncing down the road. Solid and strong and has worked perfect so far. Love being able to get custom sizes to fit the space in the motorhome. Quality unit with great delivery and quick to get it to me.
My son recommended it to me after getting one for his Hollywood writers office......so happy he did.”
