“Beefy parts. Feels solid at height. Color was on target.
Assembly mostly straightforward, but the outlet strip was different from what was pictured, and had no mounting holes. Rather than going through the hassle of returning it and having to pause desk assembly, I used metal straps to affix it.
CPU holder was too small for my Fractal Design Define Mini MicroATX Tower case, so I took it back off. Can use it later when I get a new computer with a smaller case.
Hardest part of assembly was coaxing the "œlong hex rod" into place.
Desk movement up & down largely works well, but I've had to go through the "œmechanical reset" process once to get it working again. Didn't have to reenter the saved settings, so it wasn't a huge deal. (Was need to reset related to power outage?) DON'T lose the buttons programming manual. Programming sequence is not intuitive, but it's not hard. Users aren't likely to access these settings often enough to remember the steps.
Why 4 stars? I think this is a very solid, durable desk with minor quirks - and definite accessories disappointments.”
“I'm entirely satisfied with my purchase. I think this desk will last a good long time. When I read reviews though, I want the whole picture, so...
Pros: affordable, quality workmanship, sturdy materials, customizable colors.
Cons: Really heavy (I can't move it by myself), the hex rod makes assembly a bit fiddley, it sometimes moves itself back (up or down in the opposite direction from the switch button I'm pushing) a couple inches.”
“I love it, its easy to assemble and solid as a rock. its improved me life, what more can you ask for from an inanimate slab of pressed wood and steel.”
“Great quality desk and very sturdy! It's a bit of work to put together, so make sure you have a drill. Would definitely recommend this product, especially if you are tall as it is one of the tallest on the market.”
“The desk was straightforward to assemble and set up. The desk delivers on everything it promises: a study, robust, good looking, and well built desk fit for homes and offices alike. I sprang for the longer 73 version and I am SO glad that I did, if you have the space go for it. My only real gripe is that I paid extra for the 'upgraded programmable buttons' and its not as nice as I would have hoped for the price. Its very plastic, just like the original one thats ships with the desk, the only real difference is now you have a tiny numeric display that tells you the exact height in inches. I had hopes that, for the amount of the upgrade, it would have at least been a nice piece of metal construction. But honestly that is just me being picky about the quality of things I buy, and overall the desk is a dream for this price point. You will not find a better more sturdy and beautiful desk under $900 that holds a up to this one in a side by side review.”
“Great sturdy table. Solid build. My only complaint is that the edges are not flush on the bottom side of the table and may need to get some sandpaper to smooth it out. Aside from that, the desk is solid and works well. Assembly wasn't too bad.”
