“I'm very happy with the Leap v2 chair, love the blue color. Hard to beat 50% off retail AND a 12yr warranty. I stumbled upon the site while researching Steelcase chairs and was very impressed with the detailed review of the product. The chair arrived as promised and was well packaged. It came with instructions and was easy to assemble, no tools required. It's very comfortable and has the exact adjustments I was looking for. I could hardly tell that the chair wasn't brand new, very small wear marks on the back tension dial. Mentioned the site to a coworker and within a week he had his chair and raves about it.”
“Works great! Had to call BTOD and talk through an adjustment to the gas cylinder, but once we figured that out everything worked good as new. There was a pretty strong chemical smell from the refurbishing process that seems to have slowly dissipated over time. Not the biggest deal.”
“This is the best chair I have every sat on. I notice that I have to remind myself to stretch every once in a while because of how comfortable the chair is. “I don't have a lot of experience with higher-end office chairs but I will definitely say upgrading from the $100-150 range I had been using for the last few years to the Leap v2 was a huge and immediate improvement. The build quality is obvious and overall discomfort working long hours is so much better. A great investment for young professionals making adult money for the first time in their lives or anyone who spends too long staring at monitors. Can I make fine detailed comparisons to other chairs in the Steelcase, Herman Miller, etc lines? Absolutely not, go read the btod blogs or BI or NYT reviews for that, but I can say with confidence and enthusiasm that it is a Good Chair.”
“After tons of research I decided the Leap v2 (with the roller blade wheels) was the best for me for its adjust ability. I am 5'1" and able to comfortably sit with my knees bending at the end of the seat while feeling the back support (I do use a foot rest though). I also can sit in a variety of "odd" positions, most notably cross-legged. The chair shipped the same day it was predicted to and arrived quickly and in good shape. Assembly instructions were simple and it seems to be well-refurbished. The roller blade wheels are smooth and very quiet on my wooden floors. The arm rests did have a slightly rubbery odor that lasted the first week or so, but since that has vanished. Overall a good quality chair and I would definitely purchase a refurbished chair from BTOD again.”
“The chair is comfortable, but has a chemical smell that has remained two weeks after receipt. The reupholstered fabric also pulls away from the cushion, so it looks unattached. To BTOD's credit, they have offered to replace the chair if I ship it back. I'm hoping the chemical smell goes away before the return window closes so I don't have to box it up and ship back.”
