“Price was good, ordering process simple. Shipping was quick and even received an email to confirm the chair had arrived! And the timing was perfect now that I'm working from home, this chair has proven quite comfortable.”
“This chair is awesome. It has so many different adjustments, you tweak it to fit perfectly the way you want. I also wanna point out the amazing customer support they have. The first chair I got has some issues and they shipped me a new one immediately. I worked with Jackie from their support and she's awesome.”
“I have sat in several Herman Miller chairs that are just as expensive as a NEW Stealcase Leap and for the price, I wasn't impressed. Not so with this chair! While it may not be quite as pretty as some of its premium competition, this apparently allowed the designers to put additional thought into what really matters, the function of the chair. For example, the padding on the seat pan is thicker at the front than at the back. While this may not sound like a good idea, in practice it encourages you to use better posture and make use of the excellent, supportive back rest. Speaking of which, the Leap has the most adjustable and comfortable lumbar support that I have ever used. There are no sharp spots or uncomfortable pressure points and the tension knob on the side of the chair allows for very precise tuning of lumbar support system.
While I have no serious complaints about the chair there are a few things I feel I should mention. One, the arm rests. They are a bit harder than I would like and seem a trifle "œrattly". Not enough for it to bother me, but had I paid $1,000 I might be a bit annoyed. Two, the lumbar support which I was rhapsodizing about does have one, small problem. It doesn't lock into its vertical position so that over time it tends to slide back towards the bottom of the back rest. Once again, this does not bother me as it is very easy to move it back to where you want it (One of the bonuses of the live back system is that the back of the chair has slats in it which you can use to line up the lumbar system) however, it might annoy other owners.
Overall this chair has made me a Steelcase customer, even if it is only by extension, for life. I would be willing to pay the full price for a brand new chair and I strongly recommend this chair to anyone able to spend $500. You will not find a better chair at this price.”
“The look of the chair is great.
It took some effort to assemble but not a big deal.
The only downside of my case is the cylinder is not smooth so the height is hard to adjust. It's fine because I am the only user and not gonna adjust alot. However, it would be nice if it can be fixed.”
“I bought this for my Amateur Radio shack and could not be more pleased. If I had ordered a brand new chair from Steelcase and got this refurb, I don't think I would have known the difference. Simple superb refurb work!! And a 50+% saving. How can you go wrong? The 17 minute video on the BTOD Web site highlighting the refurb process was totally compelling. FWIW, I always buy refurb if it is an option.”
