“The chair is great... The support is spectacular!
So glad I got the leap. I was making my way through yet another "Big Box Company" chair... My back and hip were giving me issues and I knew I had to find something better. I did cringe a bit at the price of the Leap, but also knew I was getting a good deal.
The chair took ~10 days to arrive. Packing was good, and the chair was in 3 pieces: main chair body, the piston in a separate box, and the base. Super simple to set up and also had well written instructions.
I did have a problem with the piston not working, so I emailed support. I received a response very quickly with common issues and also video instructions on how to remove and properly install the piston. Only took a couple minutes to fix.
Unfortunately, a few days later I realized the piston wasn't holding my weight. Another email to support... Who immediately said "sounds like you need a new piston. We'll send one out right away.". The replacement piston arrived a couple days later, and all is well. Even better... I forgot to update BTOD... So they reached out to me to make sure everything was working well.
Couldn't be happier with my decision to go with BTOD. It's not a small investment, but if you sit in an office chair for 10+ hours a day... It turns out to be not all that expensive... And definitely money well spent!

“The refurbished Steelcase Leap V2 far exceeded my expectations. Ordering could not have been easier. Arrived on my front door one week earlier than initially estimated. Expertly packaged. Simple assembley. In all candor, it was hard to believe the chair was not new - except for the price. I wouldn't hesitate if I needed another”
“The chair arrived in excellent condition, well packaged; it seemed brand new despite being refurbished. The adjustments etc. all work well just as advertised. I'm still a bit ambivalent as to whether the Steelcase is worth the cost; it is definitely comfy but doesn't feel completely in a different league compared to cheaper, basic office chairs. Was hoping it would help with my back pain but it hasn't done anything miraculous in that regard. Overall, it's an excellent product and BTOD did a great job, but I'm not convinced the cost is worth it, even at the relatively low refurbished price.”
“The chair came in Great Quality all around. The packaging was top notch. I had trouble with the pipe lever lining up with the chair to have the chair go up and down but that was all user error. A quick call to the help center and I was able to get it fixed in a matter of seconds.
Now this chair is a Great Ergo Chair!
The only reason why I rated it as "Okay" is because, the chair did not meet my needs. Unfortunately, being a 6 ft, 300 pounds type of guy with a kinda big bottom, the chair was not suitable for me. I was (and still am) in the market for a XL Ergo/Gaming chair and I ended up getting the Eureka Python II on an impulse buy. Now this was a great chair for me and what sold me on it was the new lumbar support that I have not seen on any other chair. I ended up giving it to my wife though since the chair only supported up to 275 pounds. I then proceeded to shop again in hopes to find a chair that supported me. I found BTOD and ended up getting the Leap V2 after watching countless rating videos. The Leap V2 checked off on most of the things on my list and I didn't mind spending extra since I knew the Steelcase chairs are well known and last forever ( Also, my job has these chairs, not the exact ones but they have steelcase chairs). When I received the Leap V2, I tried it out for a week and couldn't find the sweet spot. I used the chair for a very long extended period of time throughout the day but could not sit on it for more than 3 hours the last days of the week. It felt too small for me. For that, I give this chair an "okay" rating since it was not a great fit for me.”
“I received my chair after using a $75 cheap brand for a year. I didn't realized the drastic differences in quality. I tried the chair over the course of a month and had no regrets in spending the money even though it was half price compared to a brand new one. I had an issue with the cylinder but had great customer support from April to help resolve my issues, even sending me a new chair to ensure my chair was up to their standards. I sit at my desk 4-8 hours a day and I can say this is the best chair I have ever owned and I'm not generally a fan of refurbished items. Would definitely consider buying again if I had a reason but with a 10+ year warranty I don't foresee me needing one for a long time!”
