“It's hard to leave a true review on a chair after only a couple months of use, but so far I'm really enjoying my refurbished Leap. I switched from a gaming chair that absolutely destroyed my lower back and this thing feels like a godsend in comparison. I didn't want to spring for a more expensive new model of lesser quality and build so I sprung for a Leap from BTOD over a direct Series 2. Was nervous to buy a Refurb, but the chair arrived in excellent condition after a couple weeks post-Black Friday sales aside from some scratches in the plastic on one of the lower arm rests, an easy exchange for the price point. I am concerned about the longevity of the cushion, but it feels firm enough to get some good use for awhile longer and did not feel overly broken in. My only complaint is I wish there had been an option to add the headrest, but again, for the price point, can't complain. The upholstery feels sturdy and well attached, and everything came mostly assembled in 2-3 pieces and very clean. Overall extremely comfortable for frequent desk use, really good options for the art rest positions, lumbar (a godsend, honestly) adjustment, and positioning/tension. Great chair and easy process!”
“I wish this had forward tilt and adjusted more in the lumbar so that it is more snug to my lower back and had more cushion in the seat (it's like having to get used to a bike seat-ouch!). I wish I would have just bought a new Amia so I could have gotten an Steel Case 2 head rest (it fits the Amia) and had my friend put it on. The neck rest reviews for the Leap2 were bad so I passed on a neck rest but since the back doesn't flush to my lower back anyway, even on the furthest depth setting, I think I probably would have liked it because I would only use it when I rest and lean back, which is not often. I didn't need all the tilt back and rock adjustments which set it apart from the Amia, I never use them. I type all day and really needed better support in my lower back. I ended up buying a spine deck to put behind my back for more lumbar support, and that helps but for $600 I am not sure why this isn't a better chair and doesn't flush to my back more. I am not part of the 5%, this should have fit me better (5'4 180 lbs). It is not a bad chair, but I expected more.”
“The chair felt great! It was refurbished perfectly and you would never know it was used. It looked brand new and worked just as expected. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely buy another chair from BTOD.”
“Being 5'0 this was a massive improvement over my previous chair where the seat was just too deep for anything but cross legged sitting. I really like that the seat depth can be adjusted to accommodate cross legged sitting but it's also just the right depth that I can sit normal. My only complaint is lack of headrest but at my height a neck pillow fits in perfectly. Have to say my favorite part about this chair is the strength it holds you up with if you are leaning only halfway back through your tension setting. As a result I barely have to mess with the seat settings. And I am 160lbs for reference, not a small amount of pressure when I lean back!
As for BTOD they did an excellent job with sending a product easy to put together and take out of the box. The chair had absolutely no visible flaws, no dings, no tears, no stains. Well worth the refurb discount for a like-new product.”
“I am very pleased with this purchase. My wife had purchased new a similar Steelcase chair several years ago and is still very satisfied with it. When I needed a new chair for my office, I searched online and found btod.com. I read about their refurbishment process and the substantial savings they offered. I decided to give them a shot and am glad that I did. The chair was delivered on time and in great condition. It looks like new and is very comfortable with all the available adjustments. I did have to adjust the cylinder (which is working fine now), but that was no big deal as the instruction video on their website was very clear. I am happy with the chair and the shopping experience with btod.com. I highly recommend them!”
