Susan is an absolutely amazing teacher, she is very talented and sets you up so well to be able to start sewing when you leave her class. She is super polite and is able to give 1-1 attention and resources that you would not even know will be useful to you!

Susan is an excellent teacher, managing to share a huge amount of knowledge and tips from her career in fashion design, in a way that makes it very accessible for a beginner. The course covers all the sewing techniques that a beginner needs to more confidently use patterns and sewing machines to make basic clothing. Highly recommended.

I loved this class so much! I had no prior knowledge of sewing but Susan made it so easy to understand and we all felt so accomplished at the end of the class when we managed to make various hems and zips etc. I have already recommended this class to some friends who wanted to learn the basics of sewing! I only wish there were more classes at various levels so we could all continue the sewing journey with Susan as she was a great teacher! ☺️

Susan was an amazing teacher - SO much learning and such a depth of expertise in her years of working in the fashion industry! The studio was lovely as well as the rest of the group, and really did have such an informative and fun day. Definitely investing in my own sewing machine now!! Thank you so much.

I really enjoyed this sewing class! Susan gave us the basic / foundation of what we need to know before we begin sewing 1. Straight stitch 2. Zig zag 3. How to wheel your bobbin 4. How to back stitch 5. How to do an edge stitch/ double stitch 6. How to read a pattern (super important because I’m clueless!) Left the class feeling more confident and knowledgable! Highly recommend :) I also loved how Susan was so willing to answer any questions we have patiently!

Susan was a great teacher. We learnt so much and now I look forward to making alterations to clothes. I brought my own sewing machine along which I had never used and now I can use it with confidence instead of it being at the back of a cupboard! It was also great to learn something new and useful! Thank you.

The session with Susan was great, it was intensive and fast paced but she explained everything well and checked on us all as we were going to make sure we understood. We covered a wide enough range of stitches that I should be able to make my own skirt now!
