Susan was very friendly and welcoming. The class was amazing, I had never used a sewing machine before and went home feeling so much more knowledgeable as the class covered a full range of topics. All the demonstrations/ explanations were great, we each got individual attention when practicing everything on the machine and answers readily given to any questions we had. Tip: The studio is inside a sort of courtyard and have to enter this open area to see the right building with its sign instead of trying an entrance from outside the courtyard.

Susan was a great teacher - very patient, gave us lots of tips and pointers beyond just the sewing to be done on the day, and we covered a good amount of basics. The class was also straightforward and easy to arrange and book.

Susan is a great teacher. She has such a wealth of knowledge and experience which she is able to share with ease. The class was a really good size so it felt intimate enough and not overcrowded at all. The class was very informative and comprehensive and covered lots of aspects of using a sewing machine and clothing making. Obviously the only way to really feel confident is by repeated practice which you cannot get from a one day class so the real learning is consolidating what has been taught in class in our own time. It was great having the kaliko pieces to take away with examples of what we had learned on the day. I think it would be amazing to be able come away with a little keepsake from the class of something that was usable, like maybe a hair band, something really simple but useable would be a lovely touch. For the price I would say that this is a really fantastic class and I would definitely attend another one of Susan's classes.
