My mum and I went together for the introductory class, as a present from my wife. We really loved it - it is a great activity/gift for anyone who enjoys their coffee and wants to understand more about the Melbourne coffee scene and culture (including some of its history), how to enquire about/understand coffee they are ordering, as well as the beans they are buying for their home machines. Some things which set Angie (the instructor) apart: 1. She is an excellent communicator - I have never been able to create even basic coffee art before because the instructions are not clear. Every step is explained very well, and she watches each student to give very specific feedback and to help develop the muscle memory. 2. The sorts of tips are about improving efficiency as if you were going to go and work in a professional cafe, but it's very clear why you are doing each step and they are tips you could use in your own home. We even saw some of the tips she is giving to her 'ready to work' students, which was very interesting. 3. She really understands the retail type products each person was using, and how they can be optimised to make coffee at home without specialty beans and professional machines. Highly recommend!

Thank you we really enjoyed the course, our teacher was terrific, very direct & catchy instructions that are still going around in my head…. Have written them all down to follow & remind me!!! I felt Angie explained everything really well & in away that was easy to comprehend as there is a lot to take in, the history of the beans & where they are grown was interesting…Thank you.
