“Yesterday, my oldest kid (24) and I attended Eddie Lo's Dumpling Dinner Party. We had a great time, I would highly recommend this class. Eddie is an excellent teacher, very engaging, knowledgable, fun, and encouraging. He covered all aspects of dumpling creation from dough making through to dipping sauce creation. We learned about his family's association with Chinese food, his selection of ingredients, along with a hands-on demonstration of dumpling production. It's not that difficult, but it is a little foreign if you've never done it before. Eddie demonstrated all aspects for the group, and then went from person to person helping them with their technique. At the end, our group of 8 sat down at his dinner table and enjoyed the products of our work. Delicious! We came away with a new skill and knowledge of this cuisine, and a yummy meal! You will enjoy this class!”
“I learned a lot of about making dumplings and identifying quality ingredients. It was really helpful to learn how to mix the dough by feel and to practice stuffing the dumplings. Eddie will give one-on-one feedback so that everyone has a chance to improve their skills. Eddie’s family had a restaurant, and he also went to culinary school, so he is very qualified and able to give precise instruction that is very encouraging and valuable. Eddie ends the class in a communal meal, replete with greens and dessert specifically to ensure our good luck and fortune for the Chinese New Year celebration in 2 days. Everything was delicious and I appreciated the depth of Eddie’s teaching and generosity in hosting.”

Eddie is an exceptional instructor: kind, patient, and genuinely encouraging, with clear, detailed guidance every step of the way. Making and rolling the dough was a lot of fun, while preparing the filling and sealing the dumplings proved more challenging. Thanks to Eddie’s help and thoughtful tips, I saw a huge improvement by the time I reached my tenth dumpling.
