“It does its job well, but has a problem with cracking near the igniter port especially with high heat softwood pellets. Gone through 2 pot in 2 burning seasons due to cracking, may have to invest in the stainless version soon”
“The burn pot cracks and needs to be replaced every couple of years. I had a Lopi for 17 years and replaced the burn pot twice. I tried the steel burn pot and the holes don't line up.”
“Works good. Easy to clean. The only issue is its very short life. I suggest a change in the material used to make it. I understand this is a common problem on the west coast because the pellets we use are not from hardwood. A change to steel instead of cast iron would likely solve the problem.”
“My stove is less than 2 years old and I am on my 4th burn pot. They only seem to last about 6 months for me before they crack all the way across the bottom. These burn pots suck, which is unfortunate, because we really love the stove itself. This is the only issue we have with it.”
