ComfortBilt HP22-N Pellet Stove Black Reviews

4.8 Rating 27 Reviews
I have had my HP 22 N pellet stove now for three years this fall. Well use our stove for primary heating and no longer use our central heat. Well love this stove. We burn about 4-5 pallets of pellets a winter. I clean the burn pot once a day and use my ash vacuum every other day. Cleaning only takes a couple minutes at most. I do a major cleaning once a year and that takes about an hour were I remove the fans and clean all internal exhaust passages. You should have a spare parts kit. You should have a extra igniter, a main power switch and a spare burn pot. If you have those you will only be down a few minutes for most of the common maintenance issues that will occured. What should be noted when your igniter wears out taking off the side panel (2 screws ) makes the replacement a five minute job at most. The main switch comes with an extra internal fuse but removal the main switch is a bit tight. The location of the main switch is probably the least thought out part of the stove. The main power switch may take about 30 minutes. We set the thermostat and the stove provides good temperature control for about 1600 sqr ft area. My wife tells me the stove was the best purchase I have ever made. We love the HP 22 N stove.

I've had the HP22-N for about four months now. During that time, I burned about 120 bags of pellets. Ordering was easy, and the delivery took less than a week. I installed the stove myself. It was fairly easy to do with the instructions provided in the manual. So far, I have only had one issue with a squealing auger. Customer service was able to help me within hours. After some information exchange, an upgraded part was sent, which I installed myself. I am confident that the squealing will be gone for good. The stove is easy to operate and to clean, however, an ash vacuum is a must. I usually shut down the stove after four bags of pellets and clean it thoroughly, which only takes a few minutes. I'm very happy with the stove and also with customer service. Comfortbilt definitely stands behind their products. If I ever need another pellet stove, I'll go with Comfortbilt again.

I did a lot of research before I purchased our pellet stove. One thing I do before I make any large purchase online is attempt to call the companies tech support to make sure they are available. I do not deal with companies that have no phone support available. I had no issue both calling or chatting with Comfortbilt tech support, before and after my purchase. The stove was easy to install and Comfortbilt has so many video tutorials you might not ever have a reason to go to tech support unless you have a major issue. So, I have had the stove installed for about two weeks and so far we love it!

Last year we bought a HP22I and loved it so much we renovated our family room downstairs and bought a HP22N. We haven't used any oil to heat our house and we like it at 70. Best purchases ever.

Purchased Oct 2019 and run it almost nonstop Dec1-Apr15; about 7-ton per year. As of 1/24 have only needed to replace the burn pot once after 4 seasons. It’s been very dependable, but always keep the tube cleaner handle in the out position. Would like to see a 65-70k btu model in the future.
