“I wrote a lengthy review but it never got posted. So I'll make this short and to the point. The light needs a vast improvement. For a light that's suppose to be all around and rugged and for the price, it should have a memory of the prevous setting when you turn it off and on again.
It needs different light mode to be integrated and not a filter that needs to be fitted. A remote to change the setting while you have it on the pole all the way up. Feedback once you reach lowest or highest setting and not make it continous adjustment. It is top heavy while on the pole so stake should have been included in the purchase. Tripod is ok for home use or concrete but on dirt, it has to have more stability.

“My son and I arrived really late to our campsite. The first thing I set up was the LightRanger. This was our first time using it. We normally have a few lanterns and headlamps for the late night check in’s. As a lot of the reviews say “it’s a total game changer”. The following morning our neighbor walked up and asked what lights we were using. The LightRanger will be added to our must bring list. Definitely, purchase the colored lenses as well. I also purchased the heavy-duty carry case and solar panel. I’m planning on purchasing a second LightRanger soon.”
“The first unit I was sent was defective and was not showing the status of the battery’s charge. It also had what looked like scratches on the silver trim piece. I contacted customer service and they sent me another unit that works as expected. This light is bright! I plan on using it to work on my truck and bikes in my dark garage and basement. I also will take it camping to light up my cornhole boards for some evening competition.”
“The light itself is great, however the tripod mount is absolute garbage. It’s like they found the absolute cheapest material and said “that’ll do”. It almost makes me want to return the light. Very disappointed in the quality of the tripod.”
