“A bit pricey, but it turns out to be a really really good light.
We've only gotten to use it once so far and it provided plenty of light for camp.
You did not need a headlamp unless you wandered off into the dark.
We enjoyed using the amber light the best and also liked that light is pointed downwards, it doesn't throw light into other nearby camps.
It also kept our devices charged up when needed.
Several other campers asked for details on it.”

“Amazing light and a must have accessory for camping, stargazing, over landing or even general backyard use. The smartphone app connectiity is a game changer and makes it so much more convenient in switching the brightness, light modes, directions.
The base is sturdy and the quality of this light is top notch and one of the best out there!!!!”

“BRIGHT, STURDY...BUT A INSECT MAGNET!!! At my first use at Shasta Lake, I put it up and within seconds, a swarm of insects was attracted and multiplied over the next several minutes. I tried all 3 colors--but each had the same effect of drawing bugs like I've never seen swarm a light before. I'm still holding onto the packaging and debating whether the ~$250.00 is worth this thing. I bought it for illuminating a campsite or hanging over the table--but at this rate, I think I might be better hanging it 50 yards away to draw the insects away.”
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for sharing your experience with the LightRanger 2000. We’re glad to hear it’s bright and sturdy, but we’re sorry about the bug issues. Many users find the amber mode helps reduce insects, but it can vary depending on location and conditions. Hanging it farther away to divert insects is a creative approach some campers use. If you decide you need support with your unit or have any questions as you decide whether to keep it, please let us know. We’re here to help!

Kindly try turning off the lights and go to red or amber immediately it should take 15mins for the bugs to go away.
