“I appreciate that the light has some weight to it, seems well built as it took a fall on the first night while camping. The thing is bright. I like how easily it works with the app. I went with this light over competitors because of the IP56 rating that similar lights didn't have.”
Hi Ryan,
Thank you for sharing your experience with LightRanger 2000! We’re thrilled to hear it held up after a drop, is bright, and pairs well with the app. The IP56 rating is something we’re especially proud of—glad you noticed the protection it offers.
Thank you again for your feedback!
Kind regards,

“The KightRanger 2000 is the most impressive outdoor lighting set up available. I bought mine after seeing someone else's at a campground..... The light broadcasts incredibly wide.... I would say one of these lights is enough for an entire Boy Scout Troops campsite.... I live and camp in south florida where we have SERIOUS bug issues almost the entire year... the fact that the LR2000 can be telescoped up extremely high... keeps the bugs away from your kitchen or group in general and if you use the red light the bugs are not attracted to , do not go to the light at all... I love how light and compact the set up is and the incredible battery capacity it has.... you can use this light for several weekend campouts without having to recharge. Lastly, I really like how you can detach the lamp from the awesome pedastal/tripod it comes on.... you can detach it and hang it from the ceiling of your canopy or whatever structure you are under....
very impressive product.... game changer.... im kinda sad to say it but this light changes the game... i doubt how much ill ever use my beloved gas lantern again.... no more concerns over safety, glass shields breaking, wicks burning out and replacing or carrying a 20lbs LP tank or half a dozen 1lbs tanks for a weekend.”
Hi Lawrence
Thank you so much for the incredible feedback! We love hearing how the LightRanger 2000 is making such a big impact on camping setups. It’s awesome to hear the elevated height and red light mode have helped keep your campsite more comfortable while still providing wide, reliable lighting for the whole group.
We also appreciate you pointing out the versatility of the detachable light head and the compact, lightweight setup — those are features we worked hard on, so it’s great hearing they’ve been useful for you. And honestly, hearing that it’s replacing traditional gas lanterns because of the convenience, safety, and performance means a lot to us.
Thank you again for the support and for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We’re thrilled the LightRanger 2000 has been a game changer for your camping adventures!
Thank you again- Devos Outdoor Team
“Out of the 1200, 2000 and the 4000 the 2000 is my favorite. I have all 3. I love the fact that the 2000 has orange in it and doesn’t require any lens filters and I figure the 4000 should have the same options as the 2000 since its more expensive but comes with less options. All 3 are put out great light coverage and excellent for camping working on cars or any other activities at night. They are all rugged I wish all 3 came with a nice hard case like the 4000. I would definitely recommend Devos lights.”
Thank you Kenneth for the detailed feedback and for supporting the full LightRanger lineup! We’re glad to hear the LR 2000 has become your favorite and that you’ve been enjoying the built-in orange lighting option and overall performance across all three models.
We also really appreciate your suggestions regarding the LR 4000 features and hard case options. Feedback like this is incredibly valuable as we continue improving and expanding the lineup.
Thanks again for your support and recommendation—we’re happy to hear the lights have been serving you well for camping, automotive work, and everything in between!
Thanks again- Devos Outdoor Team
